WLU Finishes 17th at NCAA Tournament
May 16, 2009The Washington and Lee golf team shot a final round score of 316 (303-302-311-316--1232) to finish 17th out of 36 teams at the NCAA Division III Championship held at the PGA Village on Saturday afternoon. -
2009 ODAC Golf All-Conference Teams Announced
April 21, 2009Guilford collected three major 2009 ODAC Golf awards after finishing second overall at the ODAC Championship in Cape Charles, Va. last weekend. Peter Latimer collected Player of the Year honors, Brian Creghan was honored as the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete and Quaker head coach, Jack Jensen, was named Coach of the Year. -
WLU Wins ODAC Golf Championship
April 20, 2009Washington and Lee shot the best team round of the tournament on Monday afternoon as the Generals gained 11 strokes on round two leader Guilford to overtake the Quakers for the 2009 ODAC Championship. Guilford's Peter Latimer fired his second straight round of 76 to win individual honors. -
GC Retains Lead thru Round Two
April 19, 2009Guilford maintained control of the ODAC Golf Championships thru the second round of play, but its lead shrank as both Washington and Lee and Roanoke fired 311 to gain five strokes each on the tourney leaders. The Quakers’ round of 316 on Bay Creek’s Arnold Palmer Signature Course gave them a 634 two round total. -
GC Leads Tourney After First Round
April 18, 2009Guilford jumped out to an 11 stroke lead in the ODAC Golf Championship following the first round of action. Peter Latimer helped stake the Quakers to a 318 team score (30-over-par) with a 1-over 73 to lead all individuals. -
Golf Championship Set for Bay Creek
April 15, 2009The 2009 ODAC Golf Championship will take place April 18-20 at the Bay Creek Resort & Club in Cape Charles, Virginia. Guilford enters the tournament as the top seed looking to claim its 11th overall ODAC crown.
