Duguay, a senior from Jamestown, Va., led LC to a 6-0 week in ODAC play with four home runs. She hit .556 with an on-base percentage of .619 and a slugging percentage of 1.278 with eight runs and 13 RBI. Against Emory & Henry Saturday, she ripped three home runs and a double to finish with eight RBI and four runs. Dugay added another longball Sunday in a win over EMU.
Softball Honor Roll
Courtney Allman, Eastern Mennonite, Freshman - Second
Base/Shortstop
In six road games this past week, Allman was a monster at
the plate. She batted a solid 7-18, but launched her first
three homeruns in the stretch and added a pair of two-RBI
doubles. For the week, Allman had a slugging percentage of
1.000 and picked up a whopping 13 RBIs to easily take the team lead
in that category. She now leads EMU in homeruns, RBIs and
doubles.
Charissa Duncan, Guilford, Senior - Outfield
Duncan hit .231 with a team-high six RBI in the
Quakers’ 4-0 week… had a homer, double and two stolen
bases in the four games, which extended Guilford’s winning
streak to seven games… made the most of her three hits on
the week, including a three-run double in the first inning of
Guilford’s 5-1 win over Eastern Mennonite… blasted a
walk-off, two-run homer to complete Guilford’s 8-6 comeback
win over Eastern Mennonite in the nightcap of the league
twinbill… the hit marked her team- and career-high fifth
homer of the year and her second walk-off hit of the season…
Duncan has hit safely in nine of her last 10 games and leads the
team with six stolen bases.
Ashley Gardner, Randolph, Freshman - Pitcher/First Base
Gardner batted .643 over the four-game week for Randolph
(1-3), including a 4-for-4, two RBI game in a win against Emory and
Henry College. She followed that performance with another 4-for-4
outing, this time adding three RBI and one double.
Jessica Zeman, Roanoke, Senior - Outfield
Zeman went 5-for-10 with two runs, a stolen base and three
RBI last weekend as the Maroons went 3-1 against Virginia Wesleyan
and Randolph-Macon in ODAC action. Had a single and scored
the only run against the Marlins in the game one loss. Went
2-for-3, scored a run and drove in another in the 9-5 game two
win. In game two against R-MC, Zeman went 3-for-3 with two
RBI in the 11-0 win in five innings.
Kristy White, Virginia Wesleyan, Senior - Second Base
White extended a current hitting streak to 10 consecutive
games with a 6-for-10 for the Marlins. Her effort was highlighted
by a 4-for-4 showing against Roanoke College. She also scored
four runs against the Maroons and drove in a run.
