Heather Lewis, Randolph-Macon, Junior, Pitcher

Lewis, a junior from Glen Allen, Va., led the Jackets to a 7-1 record in ODAC play last week as she tossed a trio of complete games, including a pair of shutouts.  She has now won seven straight starts, improving her overall record to 13-3 on the year.  Lewis opened the week with a five-hit shutout of Randolph College in which she struck out four and walked one.  She backed that with another seven inning effort against Lynchburg, allowing no earned runs in helping her team defeat the Hornets for the first time in any of the current Yellow Jackets' careers.  On Sunday, Lewis brought her weekly innings total to 21 in surrendering just one run on eight hits in a 2-1 win over Guilford.  That victory helped the squad tie the all-time single season wins record at R-MC with 24 (24-set in 2008).

Kelly Higbie, Roanoke, Freshman
Higbie went five innings against Sweet Briar in a complete game shutout victory, striking out eight batters.  She is now third all-time at Roanoke in single-season wins (18), two shy of second and five away from breaking Amy Laymans' record (22).  Higbie is currently second on the single-season all-time list at Roanoke in shutouts (6) and innings pitched (159.2).  She needs only seven more strikeouts to become only the fourth player at Roanoke to have 100 in a season.

Kristina Karagiorgis, Virginia Wesleyan, Freshman
Karagiorgis pitched three of VWC's six victories during the week to improve to 12-2 overall in the circle. She worked 18.1 innings, struck out 13, walked 10 and allowed 11 hits and only three earned runs.  She also belted five singles in the six game VWC sweep.  Karagiorgis improved her ERA to 1.34.
