Stephanie Cameron, Shenandoah, Jr., Pitcher

Cameron, a junior from Ocala, Fla., went 2-1 for the Hornets, firing a trio of seven inning complete efforts.  She scattered 10 hits and walked three while giving up just one run in a 2-1 win over Mary Washington.  She fanned 10 in a four-hit shutout of Neumann on Friday, and finished the week with a 4-3 loss to Methodist in which just one of the four runs she surrendered were earned.  Cameron struck out 17 batters on the week while giving up five runs (two earned) on 21 hits in 21 innings.  Cameron is 3-1 on the season with a 1.00 earned run average in 28.0 innings pitched.

Softball Pitching Honor Roll

Aven Thomas, Bridgewater (Va.) - (Sr, P/OF - Harrisonburg, Va., 1)
Thomas tossed a five-hit, complete-game shutout on Sunday afternoon as the Bridgewater posted a doubleheader sweep over visiting McDaniel. Thomas earned her second victory of the season after walking one and fanning nine batters in seven innings of work.

Molly Smith, East. Mennonite - (Jr, P - Elkton, VA, 13)
Smith had a hand in each of EMU's wins at the Beach Blast this past weekend, finishing with a win and a save in 5.1 innings of work. She pitched the seventh inning in EMU's 8-5 win over Methodist on Friday, getting the Lady Royals their first win of the year. On Saturday, Smith kept Allegheny's offense in check, allowing just two earned runs on three hits in 4.1 innings. For the week, she had a 2.62 ERA in 5.1 innings, allowing just four hits and striking out four.

Ashley Boteler, Guilford - (Jr, P - Manassas, Va., 88)
Boteler threw a complete game shutout in Guilford's 10-0 win over Meredith.  She struck out seven batters in the five-inning win.  Opposing batters hit .167 against Boteler, and she helped her own cause with a 2-for-3 day at the plate including a RBI.

Kristen Dize, Randolph-Macon - (Sr, - Onancock, VA, 5)
Dize made an appearance in the circle in three games for the Yellow Jackets, going 1-1 with one save in 15 innings pitched. She allowed only three runs (two earned) on 15 hits while walking one and fanning five.  She went six innings in a 2-0 loss to Salisbury, and hurled another half-dozen innings in an 8-3 triumph over Franklin & Marshall.  She went three scoreless innings to earn a save in a 9-3 win over N.C. Wesleyan.
