Madison Gilman, Randolph-Macon, Fr., Catcher

Gilman, a freshman from Glen Allen, Va., helped lead the Yellow Jackets to a 6-0 week by batting .524 with 14 runs batted in.  Randolph-Macon posted doubleheader sweeps of Averett, Catholic and Guilford in improving to an ODAC-best 15-2 on the season.  Gilman had five multi-hit games in her 11-for-21 week with five doubles.  She also had at least one RBI in each contest, with three apiece coming in wins over Averett (9-3), Catholic (6-5) and Guilford (7-0).  R-MC's catcher added a pair of stolen bases to her stat line.  Gilman is batting .449 on the season.  She is tied for the league-lead in doubles (7) and runs batted in (25).  Her eight hit-by-pitches also top the conference, aiding her to a .525 on-base percentage (7th).

Softball Player Honor Roll

Melanie Lamb, Bridgewater (Va.) - (Sr, 3B - Ruckersville, Va. , 17)
Lamb was strong at the plate for Bridgewater, helping lead the Eagles to a 4-4 week. Lamb hit at a .429 (6-for-14) clip with three doubles, two home runs and seven RBI. In the first game of the week against Defiance, Lamb went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a home run in Bridgewater's 4-0 victory. Lamb responded in the nightcap with another home run in Bridgewater's 3-2 near miss against St. Norbert. Against Coast Guard, Lamb stepped in to the game in a pinch hitting situation and drilled a two-RBI single to help lead the Eagles to a 6-4 win over the Bears. Lamb finished the week with a 2-for-2 game with two doubles and two RBI in an 8-7 loss to Washington College. 

Courtney Allman, East. Mennonite - (Sr, 1B - Mt. Solon, VA, 6)
In EMU's weather-shortened week, Allman powered the offense by batting .667 with a 1.167 slugging percentage in a sweep of Mary Baldwin. Allman.  She batted 4-for-6 with three doubles, three runs, seven RBIs and a walk. Allman is currently 2nd in the ODAC in slugging percentage, and is also in the top 10 in doubles, homeruns, RBI, total bases, walks, batting average and on-base percentage.

Cynthia Hayes, Guilford -
(Jr, IF - Seagrove, N.C., 10)
Hayes extended her season-long hit streak to 16 games with at least one hit in Guilford's 0-6 week.  Hayes' 3-RBI double in game two at Roanoke tied the game at 9-9.  She smacked her first home run of the season against Virginia Wesleyan.  Hayes led the team in hits and total bases (17) for the week.

Danielle Powell, Lynchburg -
(Fr, 3B/UT - Vinton, VA, 11)
Powell raked 10 basehits as the Hornets went 4-0 last week. In LC's doubleheader sweep of #12 CNU Thursday, she had three hits in each game, scoring four runs with a double. Powell followed up with four hits in a doubleheader sweep at Shenandoah, doubling and driving in three runs. For the week, she hit .588 with a slugging percentage of .706.

Rachel Hickman, Randolph -
(Fr, OF - , 3)
Hickman  had two hits in her five at-bats as the WildCats dropped a pair of games to Shenandoah University on Sunday. Hickman scored a run and had a hit in game one, before connecting on a double in game two.

Alexis Roop, Roanoke -
(So, C - Riner, VA, 21)
Roop hit .500 over the course of five games (7-of-14).  She also drove in seven runs, scored four times and belted three home runs. She hit a home run in Roanoke's 9-4 win over Guilford, as well as two bombs over Castleton in the 9-0 win in five innings. She also had four RBI in that game.

Morgan Coble, Shenandoah -
(Jr, OF - Phillipsburg, Pa., 4)
Coble helped Shenandoah to an 8-2 week by batting .441 (15-of-34) with 11 runs scored, five doubles, two homers and 17 runs batted in.  She had at least one hit in all 10 games, with two hits in five contests.  She belted a homer apiece in a sweep of Castleton (13-2, 8-0), collecting seven RBI in those outings.  She also had four RBI in a sweep of Sweet Briar (14-0, 17-0).
