Tenney, a senior from Yorktown, Va., helped the Hornets to a 3-1 season-opening week with strong play both at the dish and in the field. Tenney went 7-for-14 with three doubles, a homer and seven runs batted in. She also scored six runs, walked once and stole a base. Tenney had at least one hit, highlighted by a 3-for-3 showing with a pair of doubles and two RBI in a 10-4 over Averett. Her homerun came in game two against Methodist where she collected a pair of hits and drove in four runs. In the field, LC's second baseman field 19 chances cleanly.

Rachel Howard, Guilford (Jr., IF - Hillsborough,
N.C.)
Howard helped the Quakers to a 5-1 week, although she missed three
games due to injury. In the three games in which she did
play, GC went 2-1 with Howard hitting .667 (6-for-9). She
recorded a double and a homer while driving in four and scoring
four runs. She also walked twice towards a .727 OBP.
Season Dailey, Virginia Wesleyan (Sr., 1B - Virginia
Beach, Va.)
Dailey went 2-for-5 in the Marlins doubleheader sweep over
17th-ranked CNU. She belted a home run in the bottom of the
first inning to help VWC to a 2-0 win in game one, and then scored
the second run of a two-run first inning in game two's 5-2
victory.
