Christine Simon, Randolph-Macon, So., Outfielder

Simon, a sophomore from Richmond, Va., helped lead Randolph-Macon to a doubleheader sweep of Methodist University last week.  She went 6-for-9 over the two games, including a 4-for-5 showing with a double, two runs scored and a run batted in towards a 10-1 win in game one.  In a 5-3 triumph in game two, Simon smacked a double and a triple with two RBI.  She also walked once.  Simon collected a .700 on-base percentage and slugged 1.111 in the series.  She's currently fourth in the ODAC with a .510 batting average and third with a .574 OBP.

Softball Player Honor Roll

Lauren Jenkins, Bridgewater (Fr., P/OF - Aylett, Va.)
Jenkins went 4-for-7 with two doubles, five RBI and five runs scored in a 1-0-1 series with Eastern Mennonite that saw game two end in an 8-8 tie due to darkness.  She has now hit safely in all 16 games to start her career.

Kayla St. John, Lynchburg (Fr., 1B/3B - Suffolk, Va.)
St. John went 4-for-7 in a doubleheader split with 16th-ranked Emory University.  She was 2-for-3 with a RBI in a 9-1 loss in game one.  She came back with a two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in a 13-8 win in game two.

Tori Higginbotham, Virginia Wesleyan (Sr., OF - Glen Allen, Va.)
Higginbotham went 4-for-8 with two triples, two RBI and a pair of runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Mary Washington.  She had both doubles as part of a three-hit showing in a 10-1 win in game one.  She also stole a base in that contest.
