Mary Shipp, Virginia Wesleyan, Jr., Pitcher

Shipp, a junior from Virginia Beach, Va., picks up her second weekly honor after posting a 2-0 week to improve to 4-0 on the young season.  Shipp started with a strong effort in the 11th-ranked Marlins 3-1 victory over over second-ranked Salisbury University.  Shipp went six frames, giving up one run on four hits with one walk and four strikeouts.  That marks the second win over ranked opponent in as many weeks for Shipp, adding the victory over the Sea Gulls to one of Christopher Newport last week.  Shipp added her second victory in an 8-0 win over SUNY-Old Westbury.  She gave up just one fourth-inning single and fanned three as she faced just 17 batters in five innings in the circle.

Jordan Aylor, Eastern Mennonite (Sr. - Madison, Va.)
Aylor went four innings to get the win in a 9-1 triumph at Mary Baldwin.  She gave up one run on one hit with a walk and three strikeouts.

Brandy Bryant, Emory & Henry (Sr. - Salem, Va.)

Bryant went 2-0 in the Cusic Classic, picking up wins over Curry (4-1) and Dominican (6-0).  She gave up one unearned run on six hits with a walk and five strikeouts in seven frames against Curry.  She followed that with a two-hit shutout with four strikeouts of Dominican.

Courtney Lackey, Guilford (Fr. - North Wilkesboro, N.C.)
Lackey tossed her first collegiate shutout with seven innings of three-hit ball with a walk and seven punchouts in the Quakers' 5-0 triumph at Mary Baldwin.

Conner English, Lynchburg (Fr. - Altavista, Va.)
English went 2-1 with a save in tournament action for the Hornets.  She went all eight frames to get the extra innings win over #10 CNU, giving up one run on six hits with a walk and nine strikeouts.  She earned a three-inning save by not allowing a hit and striking out four in a 9-1 win over Rutgers-Camden.  Her second win can in relief against Rutgers-Camden as she tossed 3.2 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and striking out four more.  Her lone blemish came to #2 Salisbury in which she gave up five runs on seven hits in 2.2 innings.  She fanned four more batters and walked one.

Hannah Winfree, Randolph (Jr. - Yorktown, Va.)
Winfree went 2-0 in three appearances for the WildCats, including a seven inning three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts to beat Rivier, 6-0.  She got her second win in a 12-2 decision against La Roche, going four innings and giving up six hits with two strikeouts.  She did not factor in the decision in Randolph's 4-3 win over Lycoming.  In five frames, she gave up three unearned runs on three hits with six walks and five strikeouts. 

Nelda Bagley, Randolph-Macon (Fr. - Kenbridge, Va.)
Bagley hurled seven frames to a get a 6-2 win over Mary Washington.  She gave up two runs, one earned, on five hits with 11 strikeouts.  She got her second win against #10 CNU, giving up just two hits and a walk with four punchouts in an 8-0.  She worked two innings in game two against the Captains, giving up four runs, three earned, on four hits.
