Taylor Carter, Roanoke, Fr., Outfielder

Carter, a freshman from Roanoke, Va., helped the Maroons extend their winning streak to six straight as she batted .429 with four extra base-hits in doubleheader sweeps of Randolph and Randolph-Macon.  Carter went 6-for-14 overall with two doubles, a triple and homer.  She drove in three runs and scored four times while also stealing a base.  She hit safely in all four contests, including two hits in game one against Randolph and game two versus R-MC.  She homered and had three RBI against the WildCats in game one, while tripling and stealing a base with two runs scored in game two.  She then notched a double in both games of the doubleheader against the Yellow Jackets.  Carter is now hitting .362 and is second in the ODAC with three triples.

Softball Player Honor Roll

Angelia Miller, Eastern Mennonite (Jr., 1B - Bridgewater, Va.)
Miller went 3-for-6 in the Royals' split series with Shenandoah.  she had a double in a game one loss, but then came back with a grand slam and six total RBI in an 11-1 win in game two.  She scored two runs.

Rachel Howard, Guilford (Sr. IF - Efland, N.C.)
Howard hit .500 (5-for-10) in the Quakers 3-1 week.  She was 4-for-6 in a sweep of Sweet Briar with a double, a homer and four RBI.  She added a RBI in an 8-0 win over Emory & Henry.

Amber Ingram, Lynchburg (Sr., OF - Floyd, Va.)
Ingram went 7-for-11 as Lynchburg swept for Sweet Briar and Emory & Henry last week.  Ingram was 4-for-5 in game two against E&H, scoring two runs.  She had a double an a RBI in game two versus SBC.

Madison Gilman, Randolph-Macon (Jr., C - Glen Allen, Va.)
Gilman went 5-for-10 with two doubles and six RBI in the Yellow Jackets' 2-2 week.  She was 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI in a game two win (11-0) over Bridgewater.

Madison Bradley, Shenandoah (Jr., 2B - Chesterfield, Va.)
Bradley went 4-for-11 as the Hornets went 2-2 in doublehead splits with Eastern Mennonite and Randolph.  She had a double and scored a run in a game one win over EMU, and then drove in one run each with three runs scored in the two games at Randolph.
