Kandis Kresinske, Virginia Wesleyan, Fr., Pitcher

Kresinske, a freshman from Chesapeake, Va., picks up her fourth weekly award of the season as she threw three more complete games last week resulting in three more victories. Kresinske opened with an 8-0 win at home over Meredith. She hurled all six innings, giving up just two hits and walking one while fanning four.  Virginia Wesleyan then returned to ODAC play where Kresinske notched her second no-hitter in as many weeks, this time covering seven full innings in a 4-0 triumph over Emory & Henry. She walked two and struck out seven. Kresinske capped her week with a second seven-inning complete-game to defeat Guilford, 7-3. Her streak of scoreless innings came to an end at 23 as she gave up three runs (two earned) on six hits.  She did not walk anyone and registered eight punchouts.  For the season, Kresinske is tied atop the league with 16 wins towards a 16-1 record. She leads the ODAC with a 0.73 earned run average and six shutouts, while ranking second with a .149 batting average against and third with 100 strikeouts.

Softball Pitcher Honor Roll

Janna Williams, Eastern Mennonite (So.)
Williams appeared twice last week, picking up a relief win in game two (4-3) of EMU's swee of Lynchburg. She worked 4.1 innings in that contest, getting out of a bases loaded jam upon entering and giving up just one hit with a walk and two strikeouts. She also worked two innings in a 7-2 loss to Messiah, again surrendering just one hit.

Grace Allen-Ingle, Randolph (So.)
Allen-Ingle picked up three wins last week, including two via starts against ODAC foes. He went 4.0 frames in a 1-0 win over Eastern Mennonite. He gave up two hits and walked four with two strikeouts. She entered in relief in a 3-2 win over Bridgewater in game one of the WildCats sweep, giving up one hit in 1.2 innings to earn the victory. She went the distance in the second game to win 4-0. She scattered five hits and walked two while fanning a pair.

Teresa Wagner, Roanoke (Fr.)
Wagner went 1-1 last week against ODAC competition. After throwing four innings in a 5-3 loss at Bridgewater, she came back with a five-inning shortened complete game victory at Shenandoah, 9-1. She gave up one run on one hit with two walks and three strikeouts.
