Amy Large, Virginia Wesleyan, Sr., Outfielder

Large, a senior from Kennett Square, Pa., hit safely in all six games and picked up a spot on the NFCA Leadoff Classic All-Tournament Team on Virginia Wesleyan's 6-0 trip to Arizona. Large went 8-for-17 with four runs scored, a triple, three homers, and 15 runs driven in. She also walked once to rack up a .471/.474/1.118 slash line. She exploded for two homers and six RBI in the first game of the series, a 16-4 victory over William Paterson. She bashed a first-inning three-run shot on the way to a 10-2 victory over nationally 15th-ranked East Texas Baptist. She drove in four runs with two hits, including a triple, in a 14-6 drubbing of the University of Rochester, and plated two more Marlins in a 5-0 victory over nationally ninth-ranked Texas Lutheran. For the season, Large his hitting .433 with three homers. She is tied with teammate Cassetty Howerin for the ODAC lead in RBI (19).

Softball Player of the Week Honor Roll

Beck Hoskins, EMU: went 6-for-8 with two walks, four runs scored, a triple, and seven RBI in the Royals 4-0 week. Had two hits each in wins over PSU-Harrisburg (9-0), La Roche (11-1), and King's (Pa.)(9-0), driving in five runs combined over the latter two outings.

Leah Elswick, E&H: went 9-for-14 with two doubles, a triple, homer, nine RBI and five runs scored in a 3-1 week for the Wasps. Drove in three runs each in wins over Susquehanna (9-5), Marietta (7-6), and again over MC (8-5) on a second day. Smacked the go-ahead three-run homer in the second game against the Pioneers.

Anna Wolfe, GC: went 2-for-3 with a double, homer, three RBI and a run scored in a 7-6 setback to Meredith.

Kayla Hugate, LC: was 4-for-6 win a sweep of Mary Washington. She belted three doubles and drove in seven runs while scoring three more. She also walked once. Knocked in four with two doubles in a 14-3 win in game one and plated three more with a third double in a 13-1 win in game two.

Kaitlyn Deeter, R-MC: was 4-for-5 with two doubles, a homer, three runs scored, four RBI, and two steals in a sweep (6-0, 10-2) of Frostburg State. Also fired home to complete a double play defensively early in game two. Hit solo shot in game one and doubled twice in game two.

Sierra Beatty, SU: went 8-for-12 with a double, two triples, four RBI, four runs scored, two walks, and two stolen bases in a 3-1 week for the Hornets. Had two hits in each game. Drove in two runs in a 10-9 loss to Wilkes. Drove in one each in wins over Gettysburg (3-1) and game one over Wilkes (9-2).
