Hull, a graduate student from Chesterfield, Va., earns her second straight weekly honor after picking up a pair of wins last week including a complete game shutout of nationally third-ranked Christopher Newport University. Hull started her week with a five-inning one-hitter in a 9-1 victory over Meredith College. She gave up one run on one hit with three walks and seven strikeouts over five frames. Then came two appearances against the #3 Captains. Hull two-hit CNU in the first game picking up a 2-0 seven inning shutout. She walked six batters and fanned eight in keeping CNU off balance. She then finished game two, working the final 1.1 innings of an 11-8 Virginia Wesleyan victory. She gave up two runs on three walks and did not allow a hit while striking out two more batters. Hull is now 3-0 on the season with a 1.03 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 20.1 innings in the circle. Opponents are hitting .050 against her. Fourth-ranked Virginia Wesleyan is now 6-0 on the season.
