Swift, a sophomore from Reedville, Va., earned three victories in three complete game starts last week including a stellar effort to help Bridgewater defeat nationally fourth-ranked Christopher Newport University. Swift opened with a seven strong frames in a 6-2 win at Eastern Mennonite. She gave up two runs (one earned) on seven hits without a walk and five strikeouts. She followed that with a second seven-inning effort in a 6-1 win over Shenandoah. She surrendered one unearned run on five hits. She did not walk a batter for a second straight game and fanned four Hornets. Swift again allowed just five hits in winning at CNU, 2-1. She gave up one run and walked one with a pair of strikeouts over seven frames. For the season, Swift is 4-0 with an ODAC-best 0.68 ERA. She has walked just three batters and fanned 12 in 31.0 innings in the circle. Bridgewater stands atop the ODAC standings at 9-1 overall and 6-0 in league play.
