Rheinheimer, a junior from Manheim, Pa., led Eastern Mennonite to a pair of wins last week, averaging 25.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals. In an 81-76 road win at Randolph-Macon, Rheinheimer posted a game-high 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting. He was 3-for-5 from deep and 6-of-6 from the foul line. She added six boards and three assists. Rheinheimer was back at in a 81-65 home win over Ferrum. She scored 23 points on 9-of-17 from the hitting, drilling 3-of-6 from beyond the arc and both of her foul shots. She also collected seven rebounds with five assists and three steals. For the season, Rheinheimer first in free throw shooting (17-of-18; 94.4%), fifth in scoring (17.1 ppg) and ninth in rebounding (7.1 rpg).
Bridgewater went 1-1 last week, defeating Mary
Baldwin (78-37) before falling to Washington and Lee (71-45).
Jessalyn Monday had a double-double against MBC with 10 points and
10 boards off the bench. Jessica Lam with 13 points, hitting 6-of-6
from the stripe. Heather Cantrell led BC in scoring against
W&L, going 6-of-7 from the line for 12 points …
Eastern Mennonite went 2-0 with wins at
Randolph-Macon (81-76) and over Ferrum (81-65). Jess Rheinheimer
led versus RMC with 27 points and six rebounds. Shakeerah Sykes and
Marla zumFelde each scored 20 points. The trio was a combined
24-of-39 (.615) from the field. Rheinheimer again led against
Ferrum with 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three
steals. zumFelde had 18 more of the bench, hitting 6-of-9 from
three-point range. She was 10-of-15 from deep for the week …
Emory & Henry lost to Randolph (78-69) in its
only game of the week. Karina Farr led four Wasps in double figures
with 17 points to go with nine rebounds and four steals. Megan
Jacoby added nine points and 10 assists …
Guilford went 2-1 last week with wins over Averett
(72-57) and Greensboro (68-54) before falling at Virginia Wesleyan
(57-53). Anais Weatherly went for 21 points and seven boards
against AU, while Kali Cuttaia had 10 points and 10 boards for her
first double-double of the season. Weatherly had 11 points, six
boards, three assists and three steals against GBORO. Amy Steller
added 12 points off the bench. Weatherly led at VWC with 26 points
on 12-of-23 from the field. Cuttaia tied for game-high honors with
12 rebounds … Hollins went 0-3 with losses
to Shenandoah (74-37), Randolph (57-50) and Sewanee (75-57). Taylor
Catron and Britney Campbell had 11 and 10 points, respectively,
against SU. Catron led with 16 points against Randolph,
hitting three from deep. Jewellanna Parfitt also hit a trio from
deep on the way to 11 points. Catron went for 16 points, six boards
and seven assists against Sewanee, hitting 4-of-8 from three-point
range. Britney Campbell led with 22 points and eight rebounds
… Lynchburg went 2-0 last week, opening
ODAC play with wins over Roanoke (74-55) and Shenandoah (74-28).
Shannon Allan went for 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting including
4-of-6 from deep against RC. She added six boards and five
assists. Chaney Forbush had 16 points and eight rebounds. LC held
Shenandoah to just 10-of-48 (.208) from the field and forced 28
turnovers. Caroline Naumann led with 14 points and nine rebounds
off the bench. Forbush went for 13 markers and eight caroms, while
Olivia DeFrancesco added 10 points …
Randolph won twice last week, defeating Emory
& Henry (78-69) and Hollins (57-50). Abigail Bullins led four
WildCats in double figures with 23 points as she hit four
three-pointers. Jensen Hoover and Allie Druffel notched
double-doubles, with Hoover going for 14 points and 10 boards and
Druffel registering 11 points and 11 rebounds. Korin Harris added
10 points off the bench. Bullins and Taylor Samuels recorded 13 and
12 points, respectively, against HU. Hoover posted eight points
with nine rebounds …
Randolph-Macon fell to Eastern Mennonite
(81-76) in its only game of the week. Hannah Livermon hit six
three-pointers on the way to a team-best 24 points. Katie Anderson
notched her fourth straight double-double, her fifth in six games
played this season. She had 14 points and 12 boards. Sarah Parsons
added 12 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Amber Lee had
10 rebounds (6 offensive) off the bench …
Roanoke dropped a pair of contests to Lynchburg
(74-55) and Sewanee (60-55) last week. Cary Beahm led with 20
points on 10-of-13 shooting with nine rebounds and four steals
against LC. She led again versus Sewanee with 17 points and
eight rebounds. Meghan Gadell added 12 points, eight boards
and four assists, and Bridget Holleran notched 10 points and five
assists … Shenandoah went 1-1 last week
with a win at Hollins (74-37) and a loss to Lynchburg (74-28).
Holly Chittenden posted a double-double against HU with 15 points
and 18 rebounds, both game-highs. She added seven assists, two
steals and a block. Ashley McGee, Kirstyn Arcata and Olivia Callan
scored 10 points each. Erin French notched a team-best 10 points
with nine boards against LC … Virginia
Wesleyan went 2-0 last week with wins over N.C. Wesleyan
(72-69) and Guilford (57-53). Nancy Kelly led with 21 points on
9-of-12 shooting with seven boards against NCWC. Andrea Paphites
hit a trio of three-pointers towards 17 points with five rebounds
and five assists. Brittany Glasco went for 11 points, eight
rebounds, three assists and three steals. Kelly again topped the
box score against GC with 17 points on 7-of-11 from the field.
Kerri Taylor recorded six points and 12 rebounds, while Glasco
chipped in eight points and 11 boards … Washington
and Lee defeated Bridgewater (71-45) in its lone game of
the week. Jackie Clifford led all scorers with 27 points, hitting
9-of-11 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line. Katie Wildes
added 11 points off the bench. W&L was 17-of-19 from the
line for the game.
