Allan, senior from Warwick, N.Y., helped Lynchburg move into a tie for first place in the ODAC with a trio of wins last week, including two ODAC triumphs with one coming against previously ODAC-unbeaten Eastern Mennonite. Allan, who shot 57.1-percent (20-of-35) for the week, opened with 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 3-of-4 from deep towards 19 points in LC's 72-53 victory over cross-town rival Randolph. She made all four shots from the stripe while collecting two rebounds and a pair of steals. She then hit 7-of-10 overall and 1-of-2 from deep on the way to 15 points with two boards, three assists and a blocked shot in a non-conference win over Salem, 87-58. Allan capped her week with 17 points, three boards, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot in the Hornets' 70-66 triumph over EMU. She notched 12 markers in the second half as LC staved away any EMU comeback attempt. For the season, Allan is fifth in the ODAC in scoring at 16.0 points per game. She's third in total points (240) and free throw shooting (84.3%; 43-of-51) and sixth in three-point prowess (38.0%; 19-of-50).
Bridgewater picked up wins over Shenandoah
(61-52) and Randolph (69-62) last week. Cassidy Burkholder led four
Eagles in double figures against SU with 20 points and 10 rebounds
for her fifth double-double of the season. Oshene Kelly earned her
third two-bagger with 12 points and 13 boards. Jessi Strom and
Jessica Lam also scored a dozen points. Four more Eagles notched
double digits against Randolph, led by Strom's 18 points. She hit
4-of-6 from deep. Burkholder and Lam scored 15 points, while
Jessalyn Monday had 13 markers with seven boards. Kaitlyn Lehan
blocked four shots off the bench … Eastern
Mennonite defeated Washington and Lee (70-58) before
seeing its five-game winning streak snapped with a loss at
Lynchburg (70-66). Jess Rheinheimer scored an ODAC weekly-high 26
points with five boards against W&L. Shakeerah Sykes recorded
her seventh double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. She and
Rheinheimer combined to shoot 17-of-22 from the field. Myneshia
Walker notched 15 points off the bench, hitting 3-of-5 from deep.
Rheinheimer led with 19 points against LC, adding three blocked
shots. Sykes picked up her second double-double of the week with 18
points and 12 boards … Emory & Henry
went 2-0 last week with wins over Hollins (73-48) and Shenandoah
(80-71). Tamara Brewster led with 19 points and seven boards off
the bench against HU. Kristie Langley hit for 13 points and six
rebounds, while Chloe Harris had 12 points, five boards and five
steals. Karina Farr registered 10 points and eight rebounds. Farr
led four more Wasps in double figures against SU with 20 points and
eight rebounds. Megan Jacoby had 15 points and six assists, while
Brewster notched 14 points and four steals. Langley added 13
markers and six boards … Guilford dropped
games to Roanoke (61-57) and Randolph-Macon (77-73) last week.
Anais Weatherly notched the first of her two double-doubles on the
week with 12 points and 10 rebounds against RC. Brittany Drew
poured in 14 points, while Heaven Walters collected 12 points.
Weatherly's eighth double-double of the season came in the form of
16 points and 14 boards vs. R-MC. Kali Cuttaia and Lauren Ramsey
scored 13 points each, while Drew added 12 markers. Cuttaia blocked
three shots … Hollins lost to Emory &
Henry (73-48) and Washington and Lee (69-61) last week. Jewellanna
Parfitt recorded her third double-double of the season against
E&H with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Amber Markovitz posted 10
boards, while Britney Campbell added eight boards and seven
rebounds. Parfitt and Taylor Catron posted game-highs of 16 points
each against W&L. Parfitt added five boards, five assists and
five steals, while Catron added six boards and four assists off the
bench. Giselle Verville added 11 points, while Campbell chipped in
eight points and seven rebounds …
Lynchburg went 3-0 with wins over Randolph
(72-53), Salem, (87-58) and Eastern Mennonite (70-66). Chaney
Forbush went for 21 posted game-highs of 21 points and 17 rebounds
against RAND, while Shannon Allan added 19 points. Lauren Penley
registered 11 points and six boards, while Sammi Goldsmith dished
out 10 assists. Olivia DeFrancesco buried 6-of-7 three-pointers on
the way to a team-high 22 points against Salem. Allan added 15
points and 7-of-10 shooting. LC shot 51.5-percent (34-of-66) from
the field for the game. Allan led five Hornets in double figures
against EMU with 17 points. Forbush added 13 markers, while Lauren
Penley chipped in 12 points. DeFrancesco and Charmaine Hairston
registered 10 markers each, while Sammi Goldsmith handed out seven
assists …
Randolphfell to
Lynchburg (72-53) and Bridgewater (69-62) last week. Abigail
Bullins returned from injury to post 16 points off the bench,
nailing a trio of three-pointers. Cheslea Tyler added 11 points and
six boards, while Jacqueline Hockman and Allie Druffel chipped in
nine points each. Hockman led with 11 points against BC. Bullins
added 10 points, while Druffel and Jensen Hoover registered eight
points and nine boards each. Tyler recorded nine points and four
steals … Randolph-Macon posted
wins over Virginia Wesleyan (80-74) and Guilford (77-73), the
latter in overtime. Katie Anderson padded her ODAC lead in
double-doubles with two more this week, beginning with 18 points
and 14 rebounds with two steals and two blocked shots against VWC.
Sarah Parsons and Hannah Livermon added 22 points each. Lauren
Vugteveen registered 12 rebounds and an ODAC season-best seven
blocked shots off the bench. Anderson's 10th double-double of the
season came via 19 points and 11 boards against GC. Livermon added
18 points and eight rebounds, drilling a trio of three-pointers for
the second time in the week. The ODAC's leader in three-pointers
made has hit three or more in a game nine times. Amber Lee recorded
her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 10
rebounds with three steals off the bench, while Khajae Hester added
10 points and eight assists …
Roanoke snapped an eight-game skid with a win
over Guilford (61-57) before falling to Virginia Wesleyan (73-71)
in overtime. Cary Beahm led with 22 points and five rebounds
against GC. Markia Beckwith chipped in 13 points, seven boards, six
assists and three steals off the bench, as well as hitting a pair
of key free throws down the stretch. Meghan Gadell made four field
goals on the way to 10 points, including the jumper that put RC
ahead for good. Anna Carter's jumper just before time expired
against VWC sent the contest into overtime. Those were two of 12
points for her, along with six rebounds. Beahm led with 23 points
and eight boards. Bridget Holleran added 14 points off the
bench, while Gadell scored a dozen …
Shenandoah fell to Bridgewater (61-52) and Emory
& Henry (80-71) last week. Holly Chittenden registered her
fifth double-double of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds
against BC, shooting 9-of-14 from the field. Breya Wallace notched
13 points off the bench, while Erin French added 10 rebounds.
French recorded her third double-double with 15 points and 14
boards against E&H, adding three steals. Kirstyn Arcata went
for 15 points and five assists, while Ashley McGee hit 3-of-4 from
deep on the way to 11 points. Chittenden and Olivia Callan scored
10 points each. Chittenden added five boards while Callan
handed out four assists … Virginia
Wesleyan fell to Randolph-Macon (80-74) before using
overitme to top Roanoke (73-71) last week. Brittany Glasco recorded
her second double-double of the year with 16 points and 10 rebounds
against R-MC. Andrea Paphites added 18 points, while Nancy Kelly
chipped in nine markers. A jumper by Paphites and three-pointer by
Kelly Jones down the stretch in overtime provided the difference in
VWC's win over RC. Glasco again led with 21 points, adding five
rebounds, four steals and three assists. Crystal Strother notched
12 points off the bench. Paphites registered nine points and five
assists, while Symonne Newsome posted a game-best seven helpers.

Washington and Lee fell to Eastern Mennonite
(70-58) before posting a victory over Hollins (69-61). Shelbi
Hendricks notched her third double-double of the season with 17
points and 10 rebounds against EMU. Jackie Clifford scored 12
points, while Emma Redding added 10 points. Annie Gauf dished out a
game-best seven assists. Hendricks made it a pair of double-doubles
on the week with 14 points and 11 rebounds against HU. She
added five assists. Clifford was led W&L in scoring with 15
points and four assists, while Redding added 10 points and seven
rebounds.
