Perszyk, a freshman from Greendale, Wis., helped the Generals to a pair of conference wins to move within one game of the top spot in the ODAC standings. Perszyk buried nine three-pointers on the week, bringing her season total to 34 -- the most at W&L since Meg Ingram connected on 66 in 2012. Perszyk notced a game-best 22 points in a 64-49 win at Randolph. She nailed 6-of-10 from deep, making five of those shots (including three straight possessions) during a decisive 25-10 run over the final 10 minutes to defeat the WildCats. She added four rebounds and two steals to her totals. In a 83-72 home win over Virginia Wesleyan, Perszyk connected on 3-of-4 from long distance, finishing with 11 points and two rebounds to help the Generals to their seventh win in eight games. Perszyk is averaging 9.4 points per game. Her 34 made three-pointers rank fifth in the ODAC, while she's eighth in three-point percentage (37.0).
Bridgewater went 1-1 with a loss to
Randolph-Macon (72-54) before a win at Hollins (67-59). Cassidy
Burkholder led with 15 points, nine boards and four assists against
RMC. Kaitlyn Leahn added nine points and eight rebounds off the
bench. Oshene Kelly led four Eagles in double figures against HU,
nothing her third double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Burkholder registered 19 points, four assists and six steals. Jessi
Strom and Heather Cantrell scored 12 points each, with Cantrell
adding eight boards … Eastern Mennonite
returned to the win column with victories over Shenandoah (75-41)
and at Roanoke (65-46). Shakeerah Sykes led with 14 points and nine
rebounds against SU. Jess Rheinheimer recored 10 points, seven
rebounds and three assists. Rheinheimer collected her sixth
double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds to go with three
helpers against RC. Sykes added 10 points, while Marla zumFelde
buried 6-of-11 three-pointers towards 18 points off the bench
… Emory & Henry dropped a pair of games
on the road at Guilford (73-63) and Randolph-Macon (85-75). Megan
Jacoby notched a team-best 15 points against GC. Karina Farr added
14 points and four steals off the bench. Farr was one of four Wasps
in double digits with 17 points and a season-best 16 rebounds for
her seventh double-double of the season. Chloes Harris and Megan
Jacoby each registered 13 points while combined for 11 assists.
Kristie Langley scored 10 points … Guilford
went 1-1 with a win over Emory & Henry (77-63) before losing on
the road at Lynchburg (52-46). Brittany Drew hit 4-of-5 from deep
on the way to a game-high 20 points against E&H. She had seven
rebounds. Jenette Taylor registered her first double-double with 13
points and 10 rebounds. Lauren Ramsey added 15 points and seven
boards. Anais Weatherly skirted the lines of a triple-double with
seven points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Weatherly posted her
eighth double-double of the season at LC with 10 points and 10
boards. Ramsey also scored 10 points, while Drew added 11 points
and five rebounds off the bench … Hollins
fell to Roanoke (62-50) and Bridgewater (67-59) last week. Britney
Campbell picked up her second double-double at RC with 10 points
and 14 rebounds. Auburn Smith and Taylor Catron score 10 points
each, with Catron adding eight rebounds. Jewellanna Parfitt
recorded her third double-double against BC with 17 points and 14
rebounds. Campbell went for 14 points, seven rebounds and five
assists, while Catron added 13 points …
Lynchburg went 1-1 with a loss at Virginia
Wesleyan (63-59) before topping Guilford (52-46) at home. Chaney
Forbush poured in 15 points with eight rebounds and three blocked
shots at VWC. Charmaine Hairston added 15 points off the bench.
Forbush locked up her fifth double-double with 13 points and 11
rebounds to go with three more blocked shots against RC. Shannon
Allan posted a game-best 18 points with six boards. Sammi Goldsmith
collected 11 rebounds and dished out five assists …
Randolphdropped games to
Washington and Lee (64-49) and Shenandoah (68-54) last week. Allie
Druffel and Jacqueline Hockman led with 12 points each against
W&L. Druffel added eight rebounds, while Hockman had five
boards and two blocked shots. Jensen Hoover added 10 points.
Abigail Bullins led with 12 points at SU. Druffel chipped in eight
points and six rebounds, while Brie Holdren pulled down seven
boards off the bench
... Randolph-Macon increased its winning
streak to nine games with victories at Bridgewater (72-54) and
against Emory & Henry (85-75) last week. Hannah Livermon wast
8-of-11 from the field on the way to a game-high 18 points with
four assists and three steals at BC. Lauren Vugteveen went for 16
points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots. Khajae Hester added
13 points and seven rebounds. Katie Anderson chipped in eight
rebounds and two blocks. Anderson registered her ODAC leading 10th
double-double against E&H with 21 points and 19 rebounds, the
third-most in a game in the ODAC this season. Livermon hit four
from deep on the way to 18 points, while Sarah Parson notched 16
points and five rebouns. Hester recorded 15 points and five
assists. She was 13-of-16 from the foul line …
Roanoke went 1-1 with a win over Hollins
(62-50) before falling to Eastern Mennonite (65-46). Cary Beahm was
10-of-16 from the field on the way to 23 points and seven rebounds
against HU. Markia Beckwith added 11 points and five rebounds.
Meghan Gadell and Anna Carter pulled down seven boards each. Beahm
again led against EMU with 20 points and seven rebounds. Tatum
McKee added six points and five rebounds …
Shenandoah dropped a game at Eastern Mennonite
(75-41) before snapping a 10-game skid with a win over Randolph
(68-54). Erin French fell a rebound shy of a double-double against
EMU with 10 points and nine boards. Breya Wallace and Brie Girouard
notched seven points off the bench, with Girouard adding seven
rebounds. Holly Chittenden pulled down eight boards. Chittenden
registered her fifth double-double with 16 points and 15 rebouns
with three assists and two blocked shots against RAND. French
recorded a game-best 19 points with five boards, and Kirstyn Arcata
added 15 points and five rebounds ... Virginia

Randolph (64-49) and over Virginia Wesleyan (83-72). Emily Perszyk
hit six three-pointers towards a game-best 22 points against RAND.
Jackie Clifford added 15 points with five rebounds, while Emma
Redding registered eight points, 10 boards and three blocked shots.
Shelbi Hendricks collected her fourth double-double of the season
against VWC with 19 points and 13 rebounds to go with three
assists. Clifford chipped in 14 points. Ailyn Kelly record 12
points off the bench, while Perszyk had 11 points.
