Williams, a freshman from Garysburg, N.C., finished off her first regular season in Ashland with three double-doubles to give her an ODAC-best and nationally third-ranked 21 entering ODAC Tournament play. Williams opened with 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting and 6-of-8 from the stripe to go with 16 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and seven blocked shots in a 74-67 setback to Eastern Mennonite. She followed with 18 points on 7-of-11 from the field and 4-of-4 from the line in an 82-44 win over non-conference Gallaudet. She notched 13 boards, two assists, two steals, and seven more blocked shots. Williams capped her week with the first 30-point game of her career in a 77-63 win at Hollins. She was 13-of-18 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line on the way to 30 points. She added 12 rebounds and a blocked shot to give her 15 rejections for the week.  On the season, Williams leads the ODAC in field goal shooting (59.9%), rebounds (324), and rebounding average (13.0). She is second in blocked shots (63), fourth in points scored (460) and fifth in scoring average (18.4).

Women's Basketball Weekly Notes

- Bridgewater guard Jessica Lam scored 20 points to go with five rebounds in an 84-73 setback to Virginia Wesleyan. She responded with 35 points on 12-of-22 shooting and 11-of-13 from the stripe in an 84-75 win over Roanoke. She added seven boards and three steals to her line. The 35 points marked her fourth 30-plus point game of the season.

- Eastern Mennonite guard Chloe Roach helped EMU win its eighth straight game in a 74-67 win at Randolph-Macon before seeing it snapped with an 89-85 setback at Lynchburg. She dropped in 23 points on 10-of-21 from the field with nine rebounds and four steals at RMC. She tacked on her first 30-point game with 30 points on 14-of-22 shooting to go with nine assists and two steals at LC.

- Emory & Henry forward Taylor Blevins put up 12 points and five rebounds in a 63-61 win over Washington and Lee. She followed with 21 points and 10 rebounds to go with three assists and five steals in a 73-61 win at Virginia Wesleyan to lock up the #3 seed in the ODAC Tournament. The double-double was her eighth of the season.

- Guilford forward Heaven Walters registered 11 points and seven rebounds with four assists in a 70-62 win at Randolph. She followed with 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a 66-62 win at Washington and Lee to help GC lock up the second seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament.

- Hollins guard Jewellanna Parfitt moved into a tie for fourth on the Hollins all-time scoring list (1,322) with 30 points combined over HU's final two games. She had nine points with nine rebounds, four assists, and five steals in a 54-52 loss to Shenandoah. She followed with 21 points, three boards, four assists, and five more steals in a 77-63 setback to Randolph-Macon, which will be HU's opponent in the ODAC Tournament first round.

- Lynchburg forward Caroline Nauman registered nine points and five rebounds in a 72-49 triumph over Roanoke. She stepped up her scoring three-fold in an 89-85 win over Eastern Mennonite, dropping in a career-high 27 points on 12-of-22 from the field. She added six rebounds and two assists in helping LC clinch the #1 seed in the ODAC Tournament for the second straight year.

- Virginia Wesleyan guard Crystal Strother helped VWC to a 1-1 week to lock up the #6 seed in the upcoming tournament. She went for 14 points, seven boards, and three assists in an 84-73 win at Bridgewater. She followed with 20 points, eight boards, and two steals in a 73-61 setback to Emory & Henry.
