Wiliams, a sophomore from Garysburg, N.C., reached a new level in the Yellow Jackets 1-1 week as she averaged 36.0 points, 16.0 rebounds, and 5.0 blocked shots while shooing 70.7-percent from the field in the two outings. Williams opened the week with her eighth 20-point 20-rebound performance of the season in a 98-79 victory over Bridgewater. She was 11-of-15 (.733) from the field and 5-of-8 from the line on the way to 27 points to go with 20 rebounds. She added five assists and five blocked shots to her line. In a 98-82 setback at Guilford, Williams tied the NCAA Division III single-game high for points and field goals made this season with 45 points on 18-of-26 from the field. She was 8-of-10 from the line and buried her first three-pointer of the year. She added 12 rebounds for her 21st double-double in 22 games, and chipped in five blocked shots and two assists. Her 45 points are the most scored by an ODAC player in the last 12 seasons* and set a new R-MC school-record. Williams is currently Division III in scoring (26.1) and is second in rebounding (18.1).^ She leads the ODAC in total points (575), double-doubles (21), blocked shots (96), field goals made (217), and free throws made (140).

Women's Basketball Weekly Notes

Bridgewater split two ODAC games last week, falling at Randolph-Macon (98-79) before topping Hollins (63-37). Rebecca Harvey went for 20 points, four boards, and four steals at R-MC. She nailed four three-pointers along the way. She collected her first double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds against HU. She added three steals.

Eastern Mennonite dropped a pair of games to Shenandoah (61-36) and at Virginia Wesleyan (67-59). Jess Washington regstered her fourth double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds against SU. She went for six points and six rebounds at VWU.

Emory & Henry won for the sixth and seventh straight games with victories at Guilford (63-59) and over Randolph (73-47). Taylor Blevins dropped in 18 points on 8-of-9 from the field at GC, chipping in six rebounds. She went for nine points, six rebounds, and five assists against the WildCats.

Guilford split a pair of ODAC games last week, falling to Emory & Henry (63-59) before defeating Randolph-Macon (98-82). Lauren Ramsey continues to post numbers across the box score. She had 15 points with three rebounds, seven assists and six steals against E&H. She followed that with 27 points on 13-of-17 from the field against R-MC. She added four rebounds, a career-high eight assists, and two steals.

Hollins dropped a pair of games to Washington and Lee (77-39) and at Bridgewater (63-37). LaChrisha Hill registered her sixth double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds against W&L. She recorded nine points and three rebounds with a blocked shot at BC.

Lynchburg pushed its winning streak to six straight with victories at Roanoke (63-42) and over Washington and Lee (66-47). Molly Shephard went for 15 points and seven rebounds with three assists, five steals, and two blocked shots at RC. She followed up with 11 rebounds, eight rebounds, and two assists against W&L.

Randolph dropped a pair of games to Virginia Wesleyan (58-46) and at Emory & Henry (73-47). Taylor Samuels posted 10 points with four rebounds and a steal against VWU. She led the WildCats with 15 points and six rebounds at E&H.

Roanoke fell to Lynchburg (63-42) and at Shenandoah (63-52) in two ODAC games last week. Madeline Suhr went for six points and eight rebounds against LC. She followed up with 17 points, three rebounds and two assists at SU.

Shenandoah picked up a pair of wins at Eastern Mennonite (61-36) ant over Roanoke (63-52). Jordan Sondrol went for 13 points, two rebounds, two assists, and three blocked shots at EMU. She stepped up her output against RC with 25 points on 9-of-15 from the field including 4-of-8 from deep. She added five rebounds and two blocked shots.

Virginia Wesleyan won two games last week, winning at Randolph (58-46) and over Eastern Mennonite (67-59). Jayla Harris went for 27 points on 8-of-15 from the field and 8-of-8 from the stripe at Randolph. She added four boards and three steals. She had five points with five boards against EMU.

Washington and Lee split two games last week with a win at Hollins (77-39) and a loss at Lynchburg (66-47). Katie Popp poured in 22 points on 9-of-15 from the field including 4-of-6 from deep at HU. She had five boards and three assists as well. She followed with 24 points on 11-of-22 from the field to go with eight boards at LC.
