Williams, a sophomore from Garysburg, N.C., stayed red-hot in the Yellow Jackets lone game of the week, helping Randolph-Macon to a 72-71 win over The Apprentice School to improve to 3-1. Williams went for 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field. She added 22 rebounds (10 offensive) to mark her third game of at least 20 points and 20 rebounds this season. She also notched two assists and three blocked shots, the last of which came with 0:03 on the fourth period clock to preserve the one-point victory. Williams currently leads the ODAC in scoring (25.8), rebounding (21.8), field goals made (40), blocked shots (16), and all total rebounding categories --- offensive (36), defensive (51), overall (87). She is second in total points scored (103) and third in free throws made (23).

Women's Basketball Weekly Notes

Bridgewater dropped its lone game of the week at Waynesburg (76-72). Ahlia Moone led with 17 points and five rebounds off the bench, chipping in three steals. She hit 7-of-9 shots from the line.

Eastern Mennonite dropped a pair of games on the road at Frostburg State (81-67) and Mt. Aloysius (81-76). Chrissy Delawder was strong off the bench in both outings, going for 16 points and six boards at FSU and 15 points and a career-best nine rebounds versus MTA.

Emory & Henry moved to 3-1 for the second straight year with wins over Brevard (90-65) and Ferrum (58-43) last week. Taylor Blevins averaged 15.5 points and 5.0 boards while shooting 54.2-percent (13-of-24) from the field. She had 19 points on 8-of-11 from the field with three boards and two steals against Brevard, and added 12 points with seven rebounds, two assists and two steals versus FC.

Guilford defeated N.C. Wesleyan (63-51) in its only game of the week. Lauren Ramsey led the way with 19 points on 8-of-11 from the field. She added four assists, three steals, and a pair of rebounds.

Hollins dropped its lone game of the week at Averett (79-32). Deanna Campbell led with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Lynchburg picked up a win over Mary Washington (54-49) in its lone contest of the week. Caroline Naumann registered her third double-double of the season with 20 points and 13 boards to go with four steals. She was 10-of-11 from the stripe.

Randolph dropped its lone game of the week at Southern Virginia (79-68). Kayln Banks posted her first double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds. She was 8-of-12 from the field.

Roanoke won its first game of the season on the road at Salem College (79-65). Laura McManimen helped lead the way with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting including 4-of-7 from deep. She added five boards, four assists, and two steals.

Shenandoah moved to 2-1 with a win at Hood (74-58). Jordan Sandrol went for 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting including 2-of-2 from three-point territory. She was also 6-of-7 from the line. She added five boards and three assists.

Virginia Wesleyan split a pair of games last week, winning at Ferrum (67-56) before falling at Stevenson (79-57). Jayla Harris poured in a season-high 34 points while making five three-pointers to go with nine rebounds and two steals at FC. She had 16 points and five boards at Stevenson.

Washington and Lee moved to 4-0 with a 78-62 victory at Gallaudet (78-62) in its only game of the week. Katie Popp and Emily Perszyk combined for 42 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists and eight steals. Popp's 22 points and five steals mark career-highs.
