2022 Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

  • Allie Schwab, Washington and Lee, Jr., Attack

    Schwab, a junior from Bryn Mawr, Pa., helped Washington and Lee wrap up another undefeated ODAC regular season with a pair of victories over teams that qualified for the conference tournament. Schwab registered six points in a 18-5 win at Bridgewater. She scored once and dished out a career-high five assists. She was 1-for-1 on free-position shots and picked up a ground ball. Schwab then helped lead the Generals to a 23-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan. She handed out two more assists and collected a pair of ground balls with one caused turnover in Virginia Beach. For the season, Schwab is fourth in the ODAC in assists (25) and eighth in points (57). She has scored 32 goals.
  • Julia Thomson, Washington and Lee, So., Attack/Midfield

    Thomson, a sophomore from Larchmont, N.Y., helped the nationally fifth-ranked Generals to a pair of ODAC victories run their winning streak to 10 straight games and improve their records to 13-2 overall and 6-0 in conference play. In a top of the table ODAC matchup, Thomson scored a career-high six goals in a 20-10 come-from-behind over Shenandoah. With W&L trailing 5-0 after the first quarter, Thomson scored Washington and Lee's first goal. She scored three times inside of five minutes gone in the second half, giving the Generals the lead for good. She added a draw control to her stat line. Thomson was again on the scoresheet in Washington and Lee's 10-5 non-conference victory over Denison University, which is receiving votes towards the IWLCA top-25. She scored early in the second quarter to give W&L a 6-2 lead, and added two draw controls is a sound victory. For the season, Thomson has registered 32 points on 25 goals and seven assists.
  • Emma Stiffler, Shenandoah, Sr., Attack

    Stiffler, a senior from New Freedom, Pa., picks up her second ODAC weekly award of the season after leading Shenandoah to a pair of ODAC wins to improve the Hornets records to 9-4 overall and 4-1 in league play. Stiffler posted a 16-point week beginning with nine points in a 19-13 win over Randolph-Macon. She scored five goals and dished out four assists to go along with six draw controls and a pair of ground balls. She scored twice and registered two of her assists in a decisive second quarter where SU broke a 3-3 tie after one period to take the lead for good, including 10-7 at the half. In Shenandoah's second game of the week, Stiffler recorded seven points in a battle of the Hornets in Lynchburg. She scored three of her game-high five goals in the fourth quarter as Shenandoah erased deficits of 5-4 after one period, 8-6 and the half, and 10-9 following three quarters with six goals to Lynchburg's one for a 15-11 road victory. Stiffler added a pair of assists -- one in the fourth quarter -- along with a ground ball, three draw controls, and a caused turnover. For the season, Stiffler leads the ODAC in points (60) and ranks second in assists (28) and tied for sixth in goals (32). She has scored 13 free-position goals, which is tied for the most in the conference.
  • Libby Bowman, Roanoke, So., Midfielder

    Bowman, a sophomore from Salem, Va., helped Roanoke keep pace at the top of the ODAC standings with a pair of conference wins last week. Bowman extended her streak of games with a hat trick to three as she has more than doubled her season points total over the past week plus. She opened last week with three goals in a 13-5 triumph over Lynchburg. She scored the opening goal of the game as well as the quarter's first goal in the second and fourth frames. Bowman again was on the the mark three times in the Maroons 14-8 victory over Shenandoah. She tallied all three of her goals in the second half -- including two in the fourth quarter -- to help Roanoke outscore Shenandoah, 9-2 over the final 30 minutes after going into the halftime break tied 6-all. For the season, Bowman has collected 15 points on 13 goals and two assists.
  • Janie Stillwell, Washington and Lee, Sr., Attack

    Stillwell, a senior from Alexandria, Va., helped lead nationally third-ranked Washington and Lee to a pair of key ODAC victories last week. Stillwell posted four points in the Generals 12-8 victory over Roanoke College. She scored twice on just three shots and dished out a pair of assists while also collecting a ground ball. Stillwell then notched another four points as W&L improved to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in league play with a 21-2 triumph over Lynchburg. She was again efficient with one goal on two shots and also doubled as a playmaker with three assists. She added a ground ball to her line. For the season, Stillwell is tied for third in the ODAC with 15 assists. She has scored 10 goals to give her 25 points. Her .769 shooting percentage is eighth in the league.

    Schwab, a junior from Bryn Mawr, Pa., helped lead the nationally third-ranked Generals to a pair of wins against two other ILWomen/IWLCA Division III Poll recognized programs. Schwab posted an 11-point week that began with five points in a 10-5 victory over Williams College, which was receiving votes towards last week's IWLCA survey. Schwab scored three times and dished out a pair of assists. She also pulled down a draw control. Schwab then registered six points in Washington and Lee's 12-7 triumph over then 11th-ranked (now 13th) York College (Pa.). She scored three times and handed out a trio of assists to go with a ground ball against the Spartans. For the season, Schwab is third in the ODAC with 31 points on 20 goals and 11 assists.
  • Reilly Cisar, Shenandoah, Jr., Attack
    March 21, 2022
    Cisar, a junior from Aberdeen, Md., helped Shenandoah pick up a pair of close victories over quality non-conference opponents to improve the Hornets season record to 5-2. Cisar scored six points, all of which were needed as SU won the games by a combined three goals. She opened her week with two goals in regulation in Shenandoah's 7-6 win in overtime over Christopher Newport. Cisar scored the first goal of the game and then knotted the score 3-all in the second quarter. Her final contribution led to the game-winning tally as her assist unlocked Gabriella Raspanti with 1:33 remaining on the OT clock. Cisar also chipped in three draw controls. Later last week, Shenandoah went on the road for a 12-10 win at Widener. Cisar scored three times with two coming during SU's comeback from a 6-1 hole and her last marker proving the final goal of the game with 1:05 to play to seal the win. She was 1-for-1 on free position attempts and tacked on a caused turnover. For the season, Cisar has registered 21 points on 15 goals and six assists. She leads the ODAC in total shots taken (45).
  • Emma Stiffler, Shenandoah, Sr., Attack

    Stiffler, a senior from New Freedom, Pa., posted a 12 point week as both goal scorer and playmaker to help Shenandoah to a 1-1 week. In a 19-10 setback to nationally 11th-ranked Messiah, Stiffler racked up seven points as she scored twice and dished out five assists. She also pulled down three draw controls and collected a ground ball. In an 11-9 win at Meredith, Stiffler did most of her damage as a goal scorer. She tallied four times and handed out one assist. Twice her goals returned the score to the Hornets' favor. She tacked on two ground balls and two draw controls. For the season, Stiffler is tied for third in the ODAC in points (18) and tied for fourth in assists (8). She has scored 10 goals.
  • Tyler Harvey, Ferrum, Fy., Attack
    March 07, 2022
    Harvey, a first-year from Ferrum, Va., helped the Panthers to their first two wins of the 2022 season in a pair of non-conference contests. Harvey registered an early career-best six goals in a 17-5 victory over N.C. Wesleyan. She converted 1-of-2 free position attempts and caused a pair of turnovers. Harvey then collected three points as Ferrum erased a one-goal deficit after three periods to post a 15-14 road win at Pfeiffer. She scored twice, including one in the decisive fourth frame, and dished out an assist. She added a ground ball to her statistical line. For the season, Harvey has posted 13 points on an ODAC fourth-best 12 goals with an assist.
  • Sydne Sawyer, Guilford, Fy., Attack
    February 28, 2022
    Sawyer, a first-year from Winston-Salem, N.C., helped the Quakers to a pair of wins with 16 total points, 16 draw controls, 5 ground balls, and two caused turnovers. In a 17-9 victory over William Peace, Sawyer registered 10 points on seven goals and three assists. She came away with nine draw controls with a ground ball and a caused turnover. She scored her seven goals on just 11 shots. In a 15-6 win over N.C. Wesleyan, Sawyer posted six points on four goals and two assists. She collected seven more draw controls with four ground balls and a caused turnover. In three games played, Sawyer leads the ODAC with 16 points and 11 goals scored and is second with five assists. Her 16 draw controls also lead the league.
  • Hanna Bishop, Washington and Lee, So., Attack

    Bishop, a sophomore from Bronxville, N.Y., helped the nationally fifth-ranked Generals start of the new season with a tight victory in a battle of national powers. The 2021 ODAC Rookie of the Year accounted for four points as Washington and Lee went on the road and posted a 10-9 victory over seventh-ranked Franklin & Marshall College. Bishop scored three times with one free-position goal. She also dished out an assist, collected a ground ball, and caused a pair of turnovers.
