  • ODAC Announces Jopson and Berkley Award Winners
    June 06, 2016
    Eastern Mennonite University and Washington and Lee University added to their awards quota for the 2015-16 season as the ODAC Board of Directors announced the annual winners of the top scholar-athlete awards in the conference. Royals' cross country and track & field star Hannah Chappell-Dick was selected as the Marjorie Berkley Award winner, while Generals' tennis standout Michael Holt was tabbed for the Harry G. "Doc" Jopson Award.
  • Finn Pincus Retires Following 25 Years at Roanoke College
    June 06, 2016
    Dr. Finn Pincus, who just completed his 25th year as head coach of the Roanoke College Cross Country and Track & Field programs, announced Monday that he is retiring. Pincus will remain as a part-time assistant coach for the cross country programs through the end of the 2016 season. Roanoke Director of Athletics Scott Allison said a search for a new Director of Cross Country and Track & Field will begin immediately.
  • Hollins University to Add Cross Country Beginning in Fall 2016

    Hollins University has announced that they will be adding cross country to their roster of sport offerings for 2016-17. Hollins will compete in a full schedule and become the 10thteam competing for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship in the fall of 2016.
  • EMU's Chappell-Dick, RC's Toney Earn All-American Honors

    Eastern Mennonite's Hannah Chappell-Dick and Roanoke's Harrison Toney continued their stellar seasons at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday as both placed inside the top-35 in their respective races to earn All-American honors from the USTFCCCA. The duo led a group of six ODAC runners competing in Winneconne, Wisc.
  • Six Set to Represent the ODAC at the NCAA Cross Country Championships

    Six individual athletes from three conference schools are set to represent the ODAC in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday. A trio from Eastern Mennonite University are joined by two from Washington and Lee University and one from Roanoke College in competing in the women's six-kilometer and men's eight-kilometer races in Winneconne, Wisc.

  • ODAC Spotlight: Hannah Chappell-Dick, Eastern Mennonite

    Eastern Mennonite University senior Hannah Chappell-Dick is about as well-rounded a student athlete as they come. A two-time track & field All-American -- mile run indoors and 1,500m run outdoors -- Chappell-Dick is also a national competitor in cross country. She has earned three ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete awards, and was named a Capital One Academic All-American last season.

  • Bridgewater Leads ODAC Men's Cross Country Poll

    Two-time defending ODAC champion Bridgewater College received nine first place votes on the way to 99 total points to lead the 2015 ODAC Men's Cross Country Preseason Poll. Washington and Lee University picked up the remaining two top nods from the league's head coaches, securing 91 tallies. Eastern Mennonite University and Roanoke College are separated by just four points (76-72) for third.
  • Eagles Headline ODAC Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll

    Bridgewater College earned six first place votes on the way to 78 total points to lead a tightly packed survey in the 2015 ODAC Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll. Washington and Lee University and Eastern Mennonite University also earned top consideration in what appears will be one of the most competitive seasons in conference history. W&L is second in the poll standings with 72 points, with EMU rounding out the top three with 69 tallies.

    Eastern Mennonite University standout runner Ryan Gehman is featured in the latest edition of the NCAA's "Champion" magazine. The article focuses on how Gehman, a Millersville, Pa., native, has used running as his "medication" to combat Asberger Syndrome and an anxiety disorder.
