ODAC Players of the Week

BASEBALL
Darrell Thompson, Shenandoah, Fr.,
Pitcher
Thompson, a freshman from Stephens
City, Va., went the distance to lead Shenandoah to a 5-1 win over
Mary Washington last week. In a full nine innings of work, the
Hornets' lefty scattered nine hits and walked one while
surrendering just one run. He fanned eight in the process. The win
was the first for Thompson in his collegiate career. He lowered his
earned run average to 3.07 in 14.2 innings of work covering three
starts.

BASEBALL
Corbin Lucas, Shenandoah, So.,
Outfielder
Lucas, a sophomore from Grottoes, Va.,
helped the Hornets to a 3-0 week, including a conference sweep of
Guilford College. Lucas went 6-for-12 (.500) from the dish,
registering two hits each of the three contests. He notched three
RBI in a 5-1 win over Mary Washington, and followed that up with
three more driven in during a 6-5 game one win over Guilford. He
had a two-run double in the fourth inning of that contest. In game
two, Lucas had another RBI double to help the Hornets to a 9-2
victory. He finished the week with seven runs batted in.

GOLF
Noah Ratner, Guilford,
Senior
Ratner, a senior from Asheville, N.C.,
placed second in the 60-man Davidson Invitational with a 36-hole
score of 73-73--146. He helped Guilford finish seventh among 10
teams, all of which were NCAA Division I aside from the Quakers.
Ratner finished one shot behind individual medalist Sam Echikson
from the host Wildcats, who finished one-over-par on the 7,208-yard
track at Rivier Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C. The performance
was Ratner's best finish of the season (combined fall and spring)
and his third consecutive top-seven result. He lowered his stroke
average to a team-best 73.47, which also leads the ODAC.

MEN'S LACROSSE
Robert Fox, Randolph-Macon, Fr.,
Midfielder
Fox, a freshman from Annapolis, Md.,
helped Randolph-Macon to a 1-1 week. In a 16-13 win over Aurora,
Fox scored six goals and dished out an assist for a career-best
seven points. He also picked up 13 ground balls and went 11-of-19
on face-off opportunities. In a 15-13 loss to York, Fox had one
goal and one assist while picking up four more loose balls and
winning three more face-offs. For the season, Fox has 17 points on
10 goals and seven assists. He also owns a 53.6 face-off percentage
(30-of-56).

MEN'S TENNIS
James Keighley, Emory & Henry,
Freshman
Keighley, a freshman from Heswall,
Mercyside, England, put up a 7-0 week for Emory & Henry going
3-0 in singles and 4-0 in doubles as the Wasps picked up four wins
at Hilton Head. Keighley won two matches against top competition
from Wilkes (6-0, 6-2) and Wittenberg (6-4, 6-3), while also
posting a 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-2) win against John Carroll. He and
teammate Webster Gilley recorded doubles wins of 8-2 (John
Carroll), 8-2 (Regis), 8-5 (Wilkes) and 8-6 (Wittenberg). The 4-0
week improved the Wasps' record to 6-1 and moves their winning
streak to five straight.

OUTDOOR TRACK
Dillon Myers, Washington and Lee,
Junior
Myers, a junior from Foxborough,
Mass., competed in five events at the UNC-Wilmington Seahawk
Invitational on Saturday, marking his first competition in almost
two months. The meet consisted of mostly Division I and II teams
with only a handful of D-III squads. Myers took fifth in the
javelin with a personal best throw of 50.39 meters (165' 4"). He
also claimed seventh in the long jump with a mark of 6.38 meters
(20' 11.25"). In the high jump, Myers finished fourth at 1.83
meters (6' 0"). In the 200-meter dash, Myers placed 17th with a
time of 23.26 and came in seventh in the 400-meter dash at 51.06
seconds.

SOFTBALL
Jordan Aylor, Eastern Mennonite, So.,
Pitcher
Aylor, a sophomore from Madison, Va.,
picked up the wins in each of her three starts while also making a
scoreless relief appearance. Aylor opened with a five-inning
complete game win in an 11-0 triumph over Southern Virginia. She
gave up two hits and fanned five without surrendering a walk. She
tossed 1.2 innings of hitless relief in the second game against the
Knights. Against Hunter, Aylor got the win in a six-inning 11-3
win. She gave up four hits and three unearned runs while fanning
six and walking one in the complete game effort. Aylor followed
that by helping to hand #18 Salisbury its first loss of the year in
a 6-1 EMU victory. She went seven complete, scattering seven hits
and givign up one run while walking a pair. For the week, Aylor
notched a 0.36 ERA in 19.2 innings of work. She is now 4-1 on the
season.

SOFTBALL
Ashley Ebersole, Emory & Henry, Sr.,
Catcher
Ebersole, a senior from Maurertown,
Va., had an explosion of power during the Wasps' 5-3 spring break
trip. She posted a 1.500 slugging percentage as she belted four
doubles and six home runs on the way to driving in 20 runs. She had
a pair of grand slams in a 22-0 thumping of Penn St.-Fayette,
finishing that game 4-for-4 with four runs scored, a double and
eight RBI in addition to the duo of four-run blasts. Ebersole hit
safely in all eight games, posting three multi-hit contests. She
also had a double-homer game in a 10-0 win over Green Mountain. On
the week, Ebersole hit .583 (14-of-24) with 13 runs scored and a
.607 on-base percentage.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE
Taylor Klevenz, Randolph, So.,
Midfielder
Klevenz, a sophomore from Cherry Hill,
N.J., helped the WildCats to a pair of victories to improve their
season record to 3-2, the first winning record in program history.
Klevenz tallied seven points in a 19-7 win over NCAA Division II
member West Virginia Wesleyan College on Tuesday afternoon. She
netted four goals, dished out three helpers and picked up five
ground balls and four draw controls. On Saturday in a win over
Meredith, she scored five times. For the week, Klevenz scored on
all four of her free position shots, added six ground balls and
seven draw controls to go with nine goals.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
Taylor Evans, Emory & Henry,
Freshman
Evans, a freshman from Gate City, Va.,
continued her unbeaten singles mark (8-0 overall, 6-0 in the
spring) with four more wins from the #2 position in a 2-2 week for
the Wasps. Evans topped singles players from John Carroll (6-1,
6-0), Regis (6-1, 6-0), Assumption (6-1, 6-1) and Misericordia
(2-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-4)). She and teammate Alyssa Wingate went 2-2 at
#1 doubles, posting wins against Regis (8-0) and Assumption
(8-6).
