JACOB CLIFTON, Roanoke, Freshman, Utility

Clifton, a freshman from Vinton, Va., led the Maroons to four victories last week, including a three-game sweep of Southern Vermont over the weekend.  Clifton had a hit in each of RC's five games, racking up a trio of multi-hit efforts.  His best outing came in the week's final contest when Clifton went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, a pair of doubles, a homer and three runs batted in.  For the week, he hit .474 (9-for-19) with six runs, four doubles, a homer and seven RBI.

Baseball Player Honor Roll

Beau Banglesdorf, Eastern Mennonite, Junior, Outfield
Banglesdorf, a transfer from D-I James Madison, batted .600 in the ODAC doubleheader against Randolph-Macon Saturday.  In the first game, he reached base all five times and ripped his second homerun of the season.  He had two hits and also walked three times.  For the day, he was 3-5 with a double and homer, two runs and two RBIs.

Jay Cox, Guilford, Senior, 2nd Base
Cox hit a team-best .364 with a double and two RBI in Guilford’s 0-3 week … posted a .455 slugging percentage and team-best .417 on-base percentage for the week… drove in Guilford’s only two runs with a second-inning single that tied Saturday’s game at 2-2 before Guilford eventually fell to Lynchburg, 9-2.

Michael Del Buono, Lynchburg, Sophomore, DH/1st Base/3rd Base
Del Buono hit .545 in the past week in two games, both as designated hitter…Had a double and a home run along with four RBI on Sunday and also had three RBI on Saturday…Is hitting .500 on the season…Also had a stolen base on Saturday..Has not registered a strikeout all season.

Jordan Walton, Randolph-Macon, Junior, 1st Base
Walton had the Yellow Jackets game winning RBI double as Randolph-Macon snapped Wesley’s 15 game win streak 4-2. On Saturday against Eastern Mennonite, Walton led R-MC with a 6-for-10 day at the plate. The sophomore first baseman had three doubles and four RBI along with scoring three runs and stealing two bases.
