
Garrett, a senior from Richmond, Va., turned in best performance of the season as he helped Lynchburg sweep previous league-leading Bridgewater in a double-header last week. Garrett fired the first seven innings of a 4-0 shutout of the Eagles as he gave up just four hits and fanned six. The victory gives him four wins on the season, and helped lower his earned run average to 2.85, which is seventh in the ODAC.

Ricther fired 6.1 scoreless innings of relief.
He kept EMU in a close game with Washington and Lee by throwing 2.1
innings with three strikeouts. On Tuesday, he shutdown
Bridgewater with 4.0 innings of one-hit ball. He finished the
week with seven strikeouts in 6.1 innings, allowing only four hits
and one walk.
Lou Trosch, Guilford, Freshman, Pitcher
Trosch went 1-0 with seven strikeouts and a 2.00 ERA in two
appearances in the Quakers’3-1 week… yielded one run
on three hits in threw two innings of relief against
Averett… earned the win, which improved his overall record
to 3-0… fanned three in the game… tossed seven solid
innings in the second game of Guilford’s doubleheader sweep
of Randolph-Macon, the Quakers’ first over the Yellow Jackets
since 2004… gave up a run on six hits and struck out four in
his ODAC starting debut… lowered his team-leading ERA to
2.75… helped Guilford match its most wins in a season since
2009

Helbig threw eight innings of one run ball against conference foe
Guilford. Surrendered just five hits while striking out four
on the afternoon.
Dalton Altizer, Roanoke, Freshman, Pitcher
Altizer went the distance for Roanoke in the first game of a
double-header with Hampden-Sydney as he scattered eight hits and
surrendered one unearned run in nine innings of work to post a 6-1
victory. He fanned six and did not walk a batter in moving to
2-0 on the season.
