Martin Henderlite, Lynchburg, So., Pitcher

Henderlite, a sophomore from Roanoke, Va., led the Hornets to a game two victory over York (Pa.) College on Sunday. The sophomore threw his first career complete game shutout in a two-hit effort over nine innings.  He fanned nine and walked just two batters.  He had five strikeouts through the first four innings.  The last hit he allowed was with two outs in the fourth inning, after which Henderlite retired the final 16 batters of the game in order.  Henderlite has not allowed a run in his last 15 innings of work to lower his ERA to 0.98.

Adam Posey, East. Mennonite - (Jr, SP - Poquoson, VA, 8)
Posey threw a complete game, three-hitter on Sunday, helping EMU past Mount Saint Vincent, 9-1. He struck out seven Dolphins in the seven-inning game and walked only one batter. Posey had a shutout going until CMSV got a one-out RBI groundout in their final at-bat. On the season, Posey is 2-0 with a 1.45 ERA. He has a team-high 18 strikeouts in 18.2 innings.

Jessup Lambert, Emory & Henry - (Sr, P/OF - Fries, Va. / Grayson County HS, 20)
Lambert pitched Emory & Henry's first shutout since 2002 on Sunday afternoon, defeating Averett, 2-0.  The Cougars were 9-2 coming into the game.  Lambert scattered five hits over his seven-inning complete-game and struck out nine batters en route to the win.  Lambert is now 2-1 on the year with a 2.25 ERA. The last time an E&H team held an opponent scoreless was on April 17, 2002 when the Wasps blanked Roanoke College, 24-0. 

Borja Jones-Berasaluce, Guilford - (Jr, P - Newton, Mass., 28)
Jones-Berasaluce threw eight scoreless innings versus Case Western Reserve in Guilford's 2-0 win.  He combined on the 12-hit shutout with teammate Chad Wagoner.  Jones-Berasaluce yielded nine hits, but also threw three double-play balls.  He fanned one and did not walk a batter in his lone appearance of the week.

Z. Whitaker, Hampden-Sydney - (Fr, RHP - Roanoke, VA, 39)
Whitaker threw his second complete game victory of the year in just three starts. The Roanoke native went nine full innings while allowing two runs on six hits. He also struck out two and walked one. Whitaker now stands at 2-0 on the season with a 1.35 ERA in 20 innings pitched.

Cameron Holshouser, Roanoke - (So, - Salem, VA, 15)
Holshouser pitched five innings to get the win against Maine-Presque Isle on Saturday. He gave up three runs (two earned) off five hits. He also struck out six and walked one in the effort.
