Jake Fletcher, Randolph-Macon, Sr., 2nd Base/Shortstop

Fletcher, a senior from Deltaville, Va., helped lead Randolph-Macon to a 4-1-1 week by hitting .484 (15-for-31) with two doubles, a homer, six runs batted in and six runs scored.  He also stole six bases in as many attempts, and walked twice to post a .529 on-base percentage.  He had five multi-hit games, including a pair of four hit efforts in a 10-10 tie against Lynchburg and an 11-7 win over Eastern Mennonite.  In the 16-inning marathon against LC, he went 4-for-7 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored.  He stayed hot the rest of the weekend in a sweep of EMU by going 7-for-9 with a double, two RBI, three runs scored and six steals.  Defensively, Fletcher was in on four double plays and fielded 27-of-28 chances cleanly.

Baseball Player Honor Roll

Adam Posey, East. Mennonite - (Jr, 1B/P - Poquoson, VA, 8)
Posey, EMU’s lead-off hitter, reached base 13 times in the Royals’ 1-5 week.  He hit 11-of-26 (.423) with a double, five RBI and six runs scored.  He walked twice and stole a pair of bases.  In an 11-2 win over Guilford, Posey was 4-for-5 with two runs scored and both of his runs batted in.  He also took to the mound for 10 innings of a 9-4 extra-inning loss to Guilford in game one (10 hits, 4 runs, 2 earned, 9 k, 4 bb).

Herc Ingels, Guilford  - (So, OF - Lenoir, N.C., 15)
Ingels went 7-for-18 with at least one hit in each of Guilford’s four games in a 1-3 week.  He had three hits with a two-run double in the Quakers’ 9-4 triumph in game one at Eastern Mennonite.  He is currently riding a five-game hitting streak.

Dan Savage, Lynchburg - (Sr, 3B - Ashburn, VA, 6)
After missing LC’s game on Wednesday, Savage went 8-of-12 in a 1-0-1 Saturday against Randolph-Macon with three runs scored, two RBI, a double, triple, and stolen base. Savage slugged .917 on the day, while reaching base at a .692 clip. He now sits second in the ODAC with a .416 batting average.

Mark Manthe, Roanoke - (Sr, RF - Blacksburg, VA, 23)
Manthe hit 7-for-13 in the Maroons’ 1-2 week, posting multi-hit outings in each contest.  He had a homer as part of a three-hit day with five RBI in an 8-3 win over Guilford in his first game of the week.  He followed with a pair of two-hit efforts against Virginia Wesleyan.

Will Salley, Washington and Lee - (Sr, OF - Augusta, Ga., 5)
Salley helped lead Washington and Lee to a 2-0 record this week with home wins over Eastern Mennonite and Averett. For the week, the senior went 5-for-8 (.625) with two doubles, four runs, six RBI and one walk. He had a .600 on-base percentage and a 1.500 slugging percentage. Against Averett, Salley went 4-for-4 with three runs, both doubles and five RBI.
