Justin Petock, Bridgewater, Sr., Pitcher

Petock, a senior from Woodbridge, Va., appeared twice in a pair of Eagles victories last week.  In a 5-1 victory at Averett, Petock worked two shutout innings without allowing a baserunner.  He fanned two in Bridgewater's season-opener.  Petock got the start in BC's 13-2 win over Juniata, tossing five shutout innings.  He gave up two hits and walked one while striking out seven.

Ryan Brewer, Eastern Mennonite (Fr.)
Brewer earned a win in his collegiate debut, working 5.2 innings in the Royals 21-3 triumph over Juniata. He gave up two runs, one earned, on three hits with two walks and three strikeouts.

Parks Smithey, Guilford (Sr.)
Smithey got the start and went 7.0 innings in the Quakers 21-0 victory over Bluefield St.  He gave up just one hit and walked three while fanning six batters.

Teddy West, Hampden-Sydney (Sr.)
West got the start and went six shutout frames to earn the win in the Tigers 5-0 triumph over Penn St.-Harrisburg.  He gave up three hits and walked three while striking out five.

David Goulding, Lynchburg (So.)
Goulding went the distance in a seven-inning affair with Messiah, picking up the win in a 3-2 decision.  He gave up two runs, one earned , on six hits with a walk and four strikeouts.

Rick Spiers, Randolph-Macon (So.)
Spiers picked up his first win of the season with five innings of work in the Yellow Jackets 14-1 victory over Rensselaer.  He gave up one run on one hit with two walks and six punchouts.  Both walks were erased by double plays, allowing Spiers to face just one batter over the minimum in the shortened five-inning contest.

Harrison Richards, Roanoke (Sr.)
Richards started and picked up the win in his first start of the year in a 4-1 win at William Peace.  He scattered seven hits and allowed one unearned run over six innings, walking one and striking out six.

Darrell Thompson, Shenandoah (Sr.)
Thompson hurled five innings in the Hornets 14-0 triumph over Case Western Reserve.  He gave up just two hits and a walk in five shutout frames.  He fanned 10 batters in his first outing of the season.
