Colin Morse, Shenandoah, Sr., Pitcher

Morse, a senior from Vienna, Va., helped the Hornets pick up a conference victory at Lynchburg, 5-1, last week. He went 6.2 innings and surrendered just one run on three hits. He walked a pair and struck out eight batters. He retired the first six batters of the game and struck out at least one batter in each inning he pitched but the third. He is now 2-0 on the season with a 0.46 earned run average and 25 strikeouts in 19.2 innings on the hill.

Baseball Pitcher Weekly Honor Roll

Mitchell Stumpo, GC: tossed 7.0 shutout innings in a no decision that Guilford eventually won, 7-2. Gave up two hits and walked two with five strikeouts.

Colin Selby, R-MC: gave up one unearned run on five hits with a walk and seven strikeouts in 5.0 frames over the Yellow Jackets' 19-6 victory at Emory & Henry.

Ben West, RC: In 5.1 innings at Bridgewater, gave up one unearned run on five hits without a walk and six strikeouts towards a 6-5 victory.

Jacob Pilarski, VWU: went 8.0 strong frames on the way to an 8-3 win at Eastern Mennonite. Gave up two runs on five hits with four walks and 11 strikeouts.
