Jacob Pilarski, Virginia Wesleyan, So., Pitcher

Pilarski, a sophomore from Pittsburgh, Pa., was outstanding both on the hill and at the dish in the Marlins 4-0 week on the road. Pilarski went the distance with a four hit shutout over nine innings in a 8-0 victory at Emory & Henry in game one of a sweep of the Wasps. He walked one batter and fanned nine on the way to his ODAC-leading ninth victory. He had a stretch of retiring eight straight batters thru the middle innings of the contest. He owns a 1.45 earned run average with 55 strikeouts in 62.0 innings of work on the season. With the bat in his hands, Pilarski went 8-for-13 with three doubles, five runs driven in, two runs scored, and two stolen bases in three games. He was 4-for-8 with a double, three RBI, and a run scored in a non-conference sweep (6-4, 12-4) at Methodist. After his shutout pitching performance in game two at E&H, he went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and a run scored in a 14-6 victory in game two. Pilarski is hitting .356 (31-for-87) with eight doubles, three homers, 21 RBI, 17 runs scored, and the ODAC's fifth-best slugging percentage at .575.

Andrew Barry, BC: went seven strong frames in a 6-4 win over Guilford. Gave up two runs (one earned) on seven hits with five walks and six strikeouts on the way to his third win of the season.

Ryan Brewer, EMU: worked three times in relief covering 6.1 innings. He gave up one run on three hits with three strikeouts in 3.0 frames in an 11-10 setback to Shenandoah. Picked up a save with 1.1 innings of blemish-free relief in a 5-4 win over Hampden-Sydney. Came back in game two against the Tigers, picking up a 2-1 win. He gave up two hits and walked one in two innings on the hill.

Mitchell Stumpo, GC: registered his first career 9-inning complete game in a 4-3 win at Bridgewater. He gave up three runs while scattering nine hits and a walk with eight strikeouts.

Colin Selby, R-MC: went 7.0 strong frames in an 18-2 victory over #11 Shenandoah. He gave up two runs (one earned) on four hits with two walks and eight strikeouts.
