Reid Long, Bridgewater, So., Starter

Long, a sophomore from Chesapeake, Va., helped Bridgewater secure the fifth seed in the upcoming ODAC Baseball Tournament by earning a victory over nationally sixth-ranked Lynchburg. Long worked 6.1 strong innings, giving up just two runs while scattering seven hits to the conference's highest-scoring offense. He walked two batters and struck out three batters to improve to 10-1 on the year, the most wins in the ODAC. He is second in the league with a 1.99 earn run average. Long has made 11 appearances including 10 starts covering 63.1 innings of work. He has struck out 54 batters and opponents are hitting .234 against him.
