Turner, a senior from Moneta, Va., made the most of his first appearance of the year as he went the distance in leading Roanoke to a 8-1 victory over Franklin & Marshall College. Turner toss all nine frames for a traditional complete game. He allowed one run and scattered six hits. He did not walk a batter and fanned five. Turner surrendered his lone run and three hits in the first inning, but enjoyed several stretches of consistent success including 10 straight outs from the fifth through eighth innings. He rolled up two double-play balls and induced 10 ground ball outs in controlling the Diplomats offense.
