Running the football has been key to Washington and Lee's
resurgence, and it was so again on Saturday as the Generals ran for
more than 400 yards for the third straight game and fourth time
this season. W&L's 427-yard effort joins games of 467
(Sewanee), 463 (Guilford) and 425 yards (Emory & Henry) this
season. Luke Heinsohn was one of two rushers to cross the
100-yard barrier for the second week in a row for the Generals.
Heinsohn reeled off 147 yards and two touchdowns, marking his
fifth straight game of 100 yards or more. Brett Murray
churned out 100 yards and a touchdown. Charlie Westfal (97
yds.) and Harrison Hudson (48 yds.) also ran for touchdowns.
Hudson added one more receiving. Defensively, Jake
Pelton (Def. Player of the Week) had a big day with 11 tackles (10
solo) and an interception in the end zone just before halftime.
For Randolph-Macon, Drake Sanders carried the Yellow Jackets'
load with 35 carries for 186 yards and a pair of scores.
Playing without starting quarterback Austin Faulkner in the
second half, R-MC couldn't overcome four turnovers on the day,
including three interceptions. Randolph-Macon had turned the
ball over just five times in its first six games of the campaign.
Receiver Earl Peoples continues to perform well as he hauled
in four passes for 96 yards. Quarterback Luke Sellers ran for
42 yards and a pair of scores. --- Box

in its win over Emory & Henry. The Tigers collected 498
yards of total offense compared to 287 for the Wasps, who were
playing without standout tailback Caleb Jennings. H-SC
quarterback Travis Lane fired three of his four touchdown passes in
the first half as the Tigers moved out to a 31-3 lead by the
intermission. Lane finished 24-of-31 for 358 yards and the
four touchdowns against a pair of interceptions. Sean
Cavanagh (7 rec. 138 yds. 2 TDs) and Kyle Vance (8 rec. 135 yds.)
both crossed the 100-yard receiving barrier, and Andrew Bruckner
hauled in a pair of touchdown passes. For E&H, Dustin
Beck threw for 210 yards to go with a touchdown and pick, marking
the second straight week he's crossed the 200-yard mark.
Receiver Preston Jennings had a career day with new
personal-bests of 11 catches and 105 yards. Defensively,
Devan Sproles recorded a pair of sacks, the most of any ODAC player
on the day. --- Box

Bridgewater's 56 points tied for the highest output for an ODAC
team this season (10/09/10 - R-MC vs. Catholic). Running back
Darrin McKenzie (Off. Player of the Week) powered the Eagles'
efforts as he ran for an ODAC seasonal second-best 219 yards and
two touchdowns on just 19 carries. He is now fourth in the
ODAC in overall rushing yardage. Dwight Sweatt added two more
TD runs, and quarterbacks Carlos Gonzalez (2) and Hagan Driskell
(1) combined for three touchdown passes. Driskell also ran
for one score. Tyler Beiler, Julius Delbridge and Nick Wimer
each caught a passing touchdown. Beiler recorded his fifth
straight 100-yard receiving game with five catches for 106 yards.
For Guilford, Billy Watkins continues to throw the ball well
as he tossed a trio of touchdown passes as part of a 339-yard day.
Ben King was his favorite target as he had 15 receptions for
251 yards and two touchdowns. Tyler Hasty had the other TD
catch. Defensive back Jordan Nelson made 11 tackles and
intercepted a pass on defense, but he also returned a kickoff 84
