Saturday marked the end to the 2010 regular season, with a
quartet of games featuring ODAC teams. Washington and Lee
completed its campaign with a 45-3 drubbing of non-conference
Juniata College. Hampden-Sydney held on to top
Randolph-Macon, 31-28, in the 116th edition of The Game.
Bridgewater saw quarterback Hagan Driskell (pictured; Off.
Player of the Week) have a hand in all five of its touchdowns on
the way to a 38-28 win at Catholic. And Emory & Henry
notched its first conference win in a 27-3 triumph over
Guilford.
For two ODAC teams the season will continue. Washington and
Lee, already a NCAA Division III Tournament participant as the
winner of the ODAC's automatic qualifier, will be joined by
at-large selection Hampden-Sydney in the 32-team foray. The
Generals will travel to Thomas More College, winners of the
Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) title following a perfect
10-0 season. The Tigers will host Montclair State University,
which finished in a tie at the top of the New Jersey Athletic
Conference (NJAC) standings with a 9-1 overall mark (8-1 NJAC).
All games of the NCAA Division III Football Tournament opening
round begin at 12:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, November 20.
