Guilford Wins ODAC Football Play of the Week Award

FOREST, Va. --- Week seven of the collegiate football season provided ODAC fans with an exciting set of games to watch and an equally impressive group of finalists for the ODAC Football Play of the Week.  Guilford College came away with the win in this week's poll thanks to a one-handed interception by JerMario Gooch against Bridgewater.

Gooch made his ODAC-leading third interception of the season in dramatic fashion to thwart a Bridgewater scoring opportunity. He made a one-handed snag of a BC pass at GC's six-yard line and returned it out to the Quakers' 25-yard line. Before the game's lone turnover, the Eagles had driven from their own 28-yard line to the Quakers' 46. Guilford was holding a 14-7 lead at the time.

Guilfored earned 74.31-percent of the vote to secure the top spot.  In total, the ODAC's four finalists were watched more than 750 times on YouTube over the past two days.
