Murray, a sophomore from Lookout Mountain, Tenn., helped lead
Washington and Lee to a 45-24 win over Emory & Henry on
Saturday by totaling 225 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns.
Murray carried the ball 10 times for a career-high 121 yards
and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 22 yards and another
touchdown. His first scoring run went for 52 yards in the
second quarter, giving W&L a lead it would not relinquish.
His 17-yard touchdown reception in the in the third quarter
capped a run of 31 unanswered points for the Generals. He
finished the game's scoring with a six-yard scoring run. He
also notched 82 yards on kickoff returns. For the season,
Murray has notched 698 all-purpose yards and a team-leading eight
touchdowns. He has scored two rushing touchdowns and one
receiving touchdown in each of the past two games.
