Sims, a senior from Suitland, Md., put together a strong performance in helping the Hornets to their second straight victory with a 34-10 result at Bridgewater. Sims led all players with 14 total tackles that included 12 solo stops. His biggest contributions came on a pair of goal line turnovers, which helped keep the Eagles out of the end zone until 16-seconds remained in the third quarter. His first turnover came on the game's opening drive with Bridgewater on SU's 1-yard line. Sims recovered a fumble by a BC running back, putting an end to an 8-play 68-yard opening drive for the Eagles. Sims again snuffed out an Eagles' possession at the goal line with SU leading 3-0 midway thru the second quarter. With BC at the 19-yard line, Sims stepped in front of a pass headed for the end zone and intercepted it, returning it to the 8-yard line and ending a 12-play drive that began at the Eagles' 7-yard line. SU made the turnover count with a touchdown 10 plays later for a 10-0 lead. For the season, Sims is sixth in the ODAC with 51 total tackles and second with 36 solo stops.
