Pinnix, a junior from Eden, N.C., made a living in Southern Virginia's offensive backfield in helping Emory & Henry move to 2-0 with a 47-14 triumph over the Knights. Pinnix, who also stars as a shot put thrower for the Wasps track & field team, led E&H with eight tackle tackles. He registered a pair of sacks amongst 2.5 tackles for a loss that set SVU back 17 yards. One of his quarterback stops was a strip-sack, with the fumble turning into a Wasps touchdown for a 27-7 lead midway thru the third quarter. For the season, Pinnix leads the ODAC with 4.0 sacks and is tied with teammates Ivan Phillips and Jay Swegheimer with 4.5 tackles for a loss. Pinnix's TFLs have cost teams 36 yards of offense.
