    The spring championship season is upon us with the outdoor track & field concluding its regular season slate in preparation for next weekend's ODAC championships. Several other sports are closing in on their final contests, with performances showing that the athletes are ready.   • W&L's Shepherd, Three Quakers Highlight ODAC Men's Tennis Awards

    Washington and Lee University sophomore Harry Shepherd and a trio from Guilford College headline the 2018 All-ODAC Men's Tennis Awards. Shepherd earned ODAC Player of the Year honors. Quakers' mentor Dave McCain earned ODAC Coach of the Year laurels, while first-year player Elijah Gregory picked up ODAC Rookie of the Year recognition. Sophomore Tate Godwin made it three major honors for Guilford as he received ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete accolades from the league's sports information directors.

    Two teams tied for both the first and third positions in the final conference men's tennis standings, shaping the top of the eight-team field for the upcoming ODAC Men's Tennis Tournament. Washington and Lee University earned top billing thru a head-to-head tiebreaker with second-seeded Guilford College.

  • Washington and Lee Leads ODAC Men's Tennis Preseason Poll
    February 01, 2018
    Washington and Lee University has lifted eight straight league trophies and was picked to repeat yet again as the Generals headline the annual ODAC Men's Tennis Preseason Poll conducted by the league's head coaches. W&L earned 10 first place votes on the way to 100 total points. Guilford College and Hampden-Sydney College are separated by just three points for the next two positions. The Quakers tallied 84 points, while the Tigers picked up 81 markers including the remaining top nod.
