WLU Competes at NCAA Championships

Strachan Earns Honorable Mention Honor

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- The Washington and Lee University swimming teams competed at the NCAA Division III National Championships in Minneapolis, Minnesote, over the past few days.  Senion Lindsay Strachan was the only ODAC representative at the meet and earned Honorable Mention All-America honors after placing 11th overall in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.31.

Strachan also competed in the 100-yard backstroke and the 50-yard freestyle.  She placed 33rd in the 100 back with a time of 58.70 seconds and posted a 50-free time of 25.32 seconds.  Neither mark made it to the finals in its respective event.
