Strachan is National Swimmer of the Week

Strachan Posts School Record, Two NCAA "B" Times

SOMERS, Wisc. --- Washington and Lee senior Lindsey Strachan (Midlothian, Va./Governor's School) was tabbed by CollegeSwimming.com as the Division III Women's National Swimmer of the Week for the week ending December 14.

Strachan won the 200 backstroke with an NCAA "B" cut and school record time of 2:06.66 to help lead the Generals to a second-place finish at the Finis Collegiate Invitational Dec. 13-15. Strachan also posted an NCAA "B" cut time of 59.20 in the 100 back en route to a runner-up finish.

Washington and Lee returns to the pool on January 10, when they take on Wingate, Ashland and Catawba at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center.  The tri-meet is slated to begin at 3:00 pm.
