GREENSBORO, N.C. | Washington and Lee first-year Caroline Baber highlighted a strong set for performances for the Generals on day one at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships in Greensboro, N.C. Baber took home a pair of All-American honors after competing in a pair of events at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The ODAC along with the Greensboro Sports Commission are serving as co-hosts with the GAC for this season's four-day national championship event. The conference is no stranger to the GAC as the ODAC hosts its championship in the facility over three days in mid-February.

  • Caroline Baber earned two All-American awards with an honorable mention nod in the 200-yard IM and the 200-yard medley relay.
  • Baber was joined by Turner Bobbit, Emily Hageboeck and Ali MacQueen in placing seventh in the finals of the 200-yard medley relay to wrap up full All-American honors

  • Women's 50-Yard Freestyle Prelims | MacQueen tied for 38th at 0:23.89, falling short of qualifying for the consolation finals (top-16)
  • Women's 200-Yard Medley Relay Prelims | Bobbitt, Hageboeck, MacQueen, and Baber finished eighth at 1:44.29 to qualify for the championship finals (top-8)
  • Women's 200-Yard Medley Relay Finals | Bobbitt, Hageboeck, MacQueen, and Baber moved up a spot from the prelims to seventh at 1:43.82, earning full All-American honors for each athlete
  • Men's 50-Yard Freestyle Prelims | Patrick Sullivan, the ODAC's lone male qualifier, stopped the watches tied for 21st at 0:20.69, coming up a few spots shy of the consolation finals

UP NEXT

  • Washington and Lee swimmers will have a heavy morning -- and hopefully evening -- in Greensboro as Generals will compete in five different events. Competition begins at 10:00 a.m. ET in the prelims and 6:00 p.m. ET for any swimmers that qualify for the finals.

* Those that finish top-8 in the finals earn All-American honors. Those that finish 9-16 in the finals earn Honorable Mention All-American recognition. To qualify for a finals session, a swimming must finish inside the top-16 (consolation final) or top-8 (championship final) in the prelims.
