Lizzy Buckley, Randolph-Macon, Senior

Buckley, a senior from Springfield, Va., led the Yellow Jackets to a 157-103 victory over Catholic on senior day in Ashland.  She picked up three wins on the afternoon to lead her team in her final home meet.  She finished ahead of the pack in the 200-yard freestyle (1:58.67), the 200-yard butterfly (2:21.81) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.63).  Buckley's time in the 200-yard free is the third-best in the ODAC this season, while her showing in the 100-yard fly is fourth amongst league competition.

Swimming Honor Roll

Rebecca Dozier, Guilford, Junior
Dozier won the 1000-yard freestyle in Guilford’s double dual meet with ODAC rivals Greensboro and Hollins… touched the wall in a season-low 14:29.68, over 30 seconds faster than her previous time in the same event a week earlier… took fourth in the 500 freestyle in 7:07.71, also a Guilford season low.

Maggie Dwyer, Hollins, Sophomore
Dwyer broke the 1000-yard freestyle school record with a time of 11:25.53 in a split dual meet with Emory & Henry and Notre Dame.  She also helped Hollins to a split decision against Guilford and Greensboro, which included a victory in the 200-yard freestyle (2:08.74).

Jessi Duffy, Notre Dame, Freshman
Duffy led her team to a 3-0 week, including going 2-0 over ODAC opponents Hollins and Emory & Henry in the Gators’ final regular season meet.  She won every event she swam this week, including two relays (200 medley and 160 medley) and six individual events.

Dana Fredericks, Washington and Lee, Senior
Fredericks finished in the top-two in four events, including two first-place performances, in a 137-122 loss to Johns Hopkins on Saturday.  She won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:34.44) and helped W&L to a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:41.74).  Fredericks took second in the 100-yard breastroke (1:10.35) and aided the Generals' second place 200-yard medley relay team (1:52.97).
