Kira Tomenchok, Washington and Lee, Fr.

Tomenchok, a freshman from Richmond, Va., helped the Generals to second place out of 12 teams at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational, winning twice individually.  She stopped the watches first in the 100-yard (0:58.13) and 200-yard (2:06.02) backstrokes.  Her times rank ninth and fifth nationally, respectively.  She also placed eighth in the 50-yard freestyle in 0:25.27.  She participated in three relays, helping her teammates to a second place finish in the 400-yard medley in 3:56.18.  She was also a member of the fourth-place 200-yard medley (1:50.65) and sixth place 400-yard freestyle (3:40.05) relays.

Gutierreiz won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:17.99) in a tri-meet with at Greensboro with Ferrum, placing inside the GC top-five in school history.  She finished second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:13.60) and third in the 200-yard IM (2:37.90).
