Bennett, a first-year from Fredericksburg, Va., helped the Hornets win their first meet as a varsity program in a 104-85 decision at Randolph College. Bennett won a pair of events, placing first in the 100-yard backstroke in 0:57.16 and stopping the watches first in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:53.67. Both times would have ranked inside the ODAC's top-25 on the top-times list last season. Bennett also competed in the 200-yard medley relay, helping a second Lynchburg squad to second place in 1:45.44.
