Parker Hayungs, Lynchburg, Fy.

Hayungs, a first-year from Fredericksburg, Va., put together a strong day in leading Lynchburg to a first place finish at the Lynchburg Invitational. The Hornets competed against Hampden-Sydney, Virginia Wesleyan, and Southern Virginia. Hayungs won a trio of individual events and helped the Hornets claim a relay title. He won the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle events in 0:50.84 and 1:49.16. He added a triumph in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:03.03 and swam a 0:50.76 split on the anchor leg of the winning 400-yard freestyle, which stopped the watches at 3:25.01. All four results are season-highs for Lynchburg. The relay time is slotted fourth in the league. His 200-free time is fifth in the ODAC, while his 100-free mark stands 13th. His 200-fly time is just off his previous season-best mark (2:01.96), which is sixth in the conference.
