Bridgewater Wins ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan Poll

FOREST, Va. --- The ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll returned this week with five outstanding plays for fans to enjoy. Week five of the poll saw Bridgewater College pick up its first win of the season behind a 72-yard interception return for a touchdown by Isaac Evans (pictured about to cross the goal line) in the Eagles 45-35 victory over Hampden-Sydney.

Late in the third quarter, BC cornerback Isaac Evans put the game out of reach in the Eagles 45-35 win over Hampden-Sydney. Evans leaped in front of an intended receiver and turned his first interception of the season in a 72-yard pick-six. The touchdown game BC a 45-20 lead with 1:31 left in the third period. Evans earned ODAC Football Defensive Player of the Week honors after adding in eight tackles with five passes broken up.  He later went on to earn recognition on the D3football.com Team of the Week.

This week's nominees resulted in nearly 2,500 interactions on YouTube and the ODAC website.  Evans' pick-six against Hampden-Sydney received 39.89-percent of the vote from ODAC football fans.
