Generals Earn Third ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan Poll Win

FOREST, Va. --- Voters continue to turn out in the ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll and for three weeks this season, those donning Generals colors have reigned. Washington and Lee University picked up its third win of the season behind the pick-six from Patrick Ryan.

Ryan, a defensive back, chipped in six points to an outburst that saw the Generals finish with 52 points on the scoreboard. With 4:28 left to play, Ryan jumped the route of a short out pattern, intercepting the pass and returning it 24 yards for the game's final touchdown. Washington and Lee's 52-7 win over Hampden-Sydney marked W&L's largest margin of victory in its all-time series against the Tigers.

This week's four nominees resulted in over 2,000 interactions on YouTube, Instagram, and the ODAC website.  Ryan's pick-six against Hampden-Sydney received 62.8-percent of the vote from ODAC football fans.
