ODAC Football Play of the Week Nominees - Week 3

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week: Week 3 - Bridgewater

Bridgewater was stellar on both sides of the ball in its 52-0 shutout of Apprentice School on Saturday, thanks in part to a pair of pick-sixes by Isaac Evans. His first came after he climbed the ladder to snag an intended pass at the Builders' 45-yard line. He sprinted the remaining distance to paydirt for a 21-0 lead late in the first quarter. Evans' two interception return TDs give him a school-record four for his career.

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week: Week 3 - Emory & Henry

Down twice by 18 points during the third quarter, Emory & Henry charged back to take a four-point lead by the fourth frame. The score that put the Wasps back on top was a fumble recovery "scoop and score" by Eric Johnson. After an errant Maryville pitch, the ball bounded about for several yards before Johnson picked it up at the 12 and scampered in for a 46-42 advantage with 11:27 to play.

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week: Week 3 - Guilford

On 4th-and-10 from Davidson's 38 with 9:15 to play and trailing 42-14, the Quakers went for the first down. Karsten Miller hooked up with his younger brother, Khylil, from 33 yards out on a fly route down the sideline. He was interfered with on the play, but somehow came up with the catch downed to the Wildcats' five. The Quakers scored two plays later.

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week: Week 3 - Hampden-Sydney

Major Morgan caught a pair of touchdown passes in the first half against Wisconsin-Platteville, helping H-SC to a 29-21 advantage at the intermission. His first score involved quarterback Alec Cobb eluding the rush and scrambling to his right. Cobb tossed the ball towards the corner of the end zone, which Morgan stretched to haul in and get his feet down for an 18-yard score.

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week: Week 3 - Shenandoah

Shenandoah and Hobart combined for 86 points in Saturday's shootout, and it took just three plays for the Hornets to draw first blood. After Hayden Bauserman gathered the snap and drew in the rush, he tossed a perfectly drawn up screen to Jalen Hudson. Hudson did the rest of the work, splitting a pair of defenders and out-running them to the end zone for a 71-yard touchdown catch-and-run.

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week: Week 3 - Washington and Lee

Washington and Lee is known for its running game and it was on display again during the Generals' 24-14 win at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, but the passing game provided a great moment for receiver Josh Malm. Late in the first half, quarterback Matt Sgro lofted a pass down the seam. Malm flatted out and hauled in the pass at full dive, picking up 24 yards down to the CMS 37-yard line.
