FOREST, Va. --- In the first close contest of the season, Hampden-Sydney edged Bridgewater at the wire to win the third installment of the 2017 ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll.

Major Morgan caught a pair of touchdown passes in the first half against nationally 13th-ranked Wisconsin-Platteville, helping H-SC to a 29-21 advantage at the intermission. Morgan's first score involved quarterback Alec Cobb eluding the rush and scrambling to his right. Cobb tossed the ball towards the corner of the end zone, which Morgan stretched to haul in and get his feet down for an 18-yard score. The TD was one of four thrown by Cobb on the day.

This week's six nominees garnered more that 10,500 interactions on the ODAC website, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Cobb to Morgan earned a little more than 47-percent of the total vote, narrowing edging out Bridgewater's highlight by a little more than one percentage point.
