  ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 7 | Bridgewater

  Bridgewater posted several big plays in its 42-21 setback to Hampden-Sydney. And none were bigger – or longer – than Alex Galloway’s kickoff return midway thru the third quarter. Galloway put his track star speed on display after fielding a kickoff near the goal line. He wasted no time bursting thru a whole and then beat H-SC’s kicker to the angle. He coasted the rest of the way for a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown, tying Bridgewater and NCAA records in the process. He later added a 43-yard TD on his only rush of the game. --- only one angle available

  ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 7 | Ferrum

  Ferrum running back Brian Mann has had several big days this season, and that trend continued in the Panthers 28-27 setback to Guilford. Mann saved his longest run for his last. In fact, it was the last touchdown of the game. Mann took the inside handoff from quarterback Zack Clifford and quickly made his way thru the center of the line. After a cut out wide, he perfectly setup a block on the corner and then out-sprinted four defenders to the end zone. That was his second TD run of the day. He finished with 216 yards on 36 carries for his third 200-yard game of the season. He leads the ODAC with 965 yards on the ground.

  ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 7 | Guilford

  Moments after Ferrum missed a potential go-ahead field goal, the Quakers' used the long ball to break a 21-21 fourth-quarter tie. Guilford quarterback Alex Manley hung in the pocket to throw a quick slant to receiver Montek Johnson. Johnson rose up to catch the high throw and proceeded to break two tackles en route to a 65-yard touchdown that put the Quakers on top. The extra point after this score proved the difference in Guilford's first ODAC win of the season. Johnson finished with 93 yards on three receptions, while Manley threw for 250 yards and two scores.

  ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 7 | Hampden-Sydney

  Hampden-Sydney receiver Major Morgan needed every bit of his 6-foot-5 frame to score a touchdown midway thru the fourth quarter in the Tigers 42-21 win at Bridgewater. Quarterback Alec Cobb put the ball on the money on a stop-route at the 12-yard line. Morgan got away from his cover-man and spun thru a tackle before he dragged his original defender towards the end zone. Before the ball popped out, he was able to reach over the goal line for the touchdown. Morgan finished with six catches for 79 yards while the TD pass was one of four for Cobb. --- only one angle available

  ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 7 | Randolph-Macon

  Sometimes a big play isn’t a long run, a game-winning touchdown, or a win-clinching interception. Sometimes, it is a tone-setter. That’s what Owen Ritter provided on Shenandoah’s first possession of the game in Randolph-Macon’s 45-14 victory. After seemingly forcing a three-out with an impending SU punt, Randolph-Macon’s defense was called upon one more time. Hornets’ punter Brant Butler faked the punt and threw for wideout Casey Stewart. Ritter recovered from the misdirection to break up the pass and give R-MC possession on the SU 33-yard line. The Yellow Jackets that into a touchdown, which marked the first seven of 45 unanswered points.

  ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 7 | Washington and Lee

  Any defense’s main job is to stop opponents from scoring, so the boost is two-fold when they put points on the board to help out the offense. Washington and Lee’s defense provided that bonus for the second time in as many weeks in its 40-29 win over Emory & Henry. Early in the second quarter, linebacker Will Corry blitzed thru an open hole the Wasps’ line. He used the free route into the backfield to not only sack the quarterback but force a fumble. He picked up the loose ball and took it six yards to the end zone for a 27-0 lead with 12:10 on the second quarter clock. Corry finished with seven tackles including a pair of sacks to move into a tie for #1 in the ODAC with 6.5.
